I have gotten not one but two emails from Amazon with book suggestions.
Both times, it suggested Speaker for the Dead and the rest of the Enderverse series. You don't know me at all, Amazon. *sniffle*

Re: Things that make me laugh
I recently found out you can tell them if you already have a book so they will stop suggesting it.

Re: Things that make me laugh
My friend had to talk to me about cloning for Biology homework.
I proposed the hypothetical situation of me making a clone, giving him off to some family, letting him grow up poor, gain his own family, and then offering to take full care of his family in exchange for him willingly giving up his organ's whenever I need them, at a moment's notice.
"I'll offer to take full care of him. You know, all his food, house, and videogame needs." Yeah, videogames just slipped out as one of those essential aspects of life I'd take care of. My friend burst out laughing. And, now I laugh whenever I think about it.

Overheard today as I was walking by the local high-end fairtrade clothing boutique (i.e. does not sell the same hippie/grungy Himalayan wool hoodie in garish colours): "Oh, it's ethical. I hate ethical things!"

My hometown (and let's not say which of the three AZ cities is my hometown, folks who know) is in thetop 10 worst cities for singles. I knew it wasn't just me who thought that place sucked for that.

Re: Things that make me laugh
Facebook seems to think I am a very different place in my life than I am. A few months ago it was advertising engagement rings. This week it's Planned Parenthood. I guess I wasn't getting engaged fast enough so they're suggesting the shotgun wedding approach...

Re: Things that make me laugh
Overheard on the train today:
Little Girl: Is this the stop where we turned around for the Christmas train?
Probably-Grandma: Um, I...you know, I think it is.
LG: Remember the Santa? He wasn't the real Santa.
PG: Oh?
LG: I'm really good at telling the real Santa and he wasn't him.
*pause*
I could see his pillow falling out.

Re: Things that make me laugh
There was a shingles awareness commercial on tv with the slogan "The virus may already be inside you." Who thinks that's a great title for a horror movie?

hmm. Perhaps a bit too long for a movie title but definitely the byline.
The Virus
"It may already be inside you."
Starring Megan Fox as the Virus

While I was cleaning the bathroom, Atty was sitting in his bouncer pretty quietly next to the radio. Then Bob Seeger came on singing"We've Got Tonight." Suddenly, Atty was crooning right along with him, very enthusiastically. He kept it up for the whole song. It was awesome and hilarious and cuuute!!

Mich's video podcast. Granted, I'm like 6 minutes into it, so it could still crash and burn ( ) but it's pretty great so far.

Ha! Thanks. It took a stupid amount of time to edit, but I realized just watching us stare at the camera for an hour while talking our usual drivel was going to be pretty unnecessary.

Re: Things that make me laugh
My cousin just started dating the guy I dated freshman year. I was so proud of myself for successfully avoiding any awkward encounters with him for two years, and now I just know he's going to show up at a family reunion. 'Tis most excellent.

That monkey or chimp or whatever is freaking me out. My brain has half-convinced itself that it must be a (tiny) guy in a suit even though intellectually I know that's not the case.

Mine, too!My brain has half-convinced itself that it must be a (tiny) guy in a suit even though intellectually I know that's not the case.
I also keep making up this story about how they're best friends and the dog is laughing at how silly that chimp is. They're later going to grab some lunch and reminisce about that one time the chimp pulled the dog's tail and leg, even though it just happened.

For what it's worth, that made me laugh, too.
And stating the obvious, holy heck is that child roughly 50/50 you and Rei appearance-wise. Every time I start to think she looks more like one of you than the other, she turns her face and it's the other parent I'm looking at.

I saw the crushed police cars on the news. That was pretty epic.

I might have said this already, but...
Nathan from Misfits. Like, I can't imagine not laughing at an episode with him in it. He's the funniest character I've ever seen on tv. (Accent helps)
"The Siren call of the blowjob renders all men powerless. That's how girls trick you into marrying them."
"Girl: I'm not gonna touch your cock! Nathan: *Most innocent eyes and sincere voice* Where's your humanityyy?
Not to mention, calling Simon "Barry" for two whole seasons. Lol
