What did everyone thing of the HIMYM finale? I was so shocked that I was confused for a bit until I looked it up online to make sure it was what I thought it was.

The consequence of watching three seasons of Archer and then choosing which Pepperidge Farm cookies to buy is that you start singing "Milano butts (Milano butts!) Milano butts (Milano butts!)" in the Fred Meyer aisle.

I've gone back and forth on Girls. Sometimes it's terrific, sometimes it's terrible and there's an awful lot of meh in the show. I continue watching because there's nothing else like it on TV and it does strike a chord every once in a while. But wow, it is such an awful array of people that I usually can't wait for the episode to be over.

I'm finally caught up on Breaking Bad and now unsure what show I should move onto next, since the last season doesn't start for a month and even then, I have to wait for zero to watch it. I've put a hold on Falling Skies S1 but that might take a while to get to me.

Maybe it's time to go back to BBT.

Still slowly working my way through The Wire. It's good, but I'm not sure it lives up to the "Best Show Ever Televised" hype that I saw going into this. Granted I'm only on the second episode of season two, so I have no idea what's in store.

That's what I'm talking about. What season? What changed your mind? Was it season 2? Because season 2 is really the deal-maker. Then season 3 is kind of a break. And then season 4 is sooooooo good, and season 5 makes it all awesome-er.

I'm not sure which season really turned it from "This is good" into "Holy cow, I can't get enough!" but I'm just finishing up Season 4 now. I can't really believe how deep this show is. I find myself reading a synopsis of each episode after I watch it, in order to make sure I didn't miss any sub plots. I think that's my favorite part of this show. So many details.

I finally saw the season finale of Game of Thrones. What can I say?
Epic. Some feelings of inevitable doom at the very end.

Minor Spoilers:

The magic of the Warlocks was really unnerving. Walking from dungeon to ash/snow covered landscape to your dead husband and baby and back to a dungeon kinda creeped me out. It was surreal. I'm glad the dragons finally learnt to breath fire, though I'm confused why someone with such strong magic stood around and let himself get burnt to death...Especially if he can make like a billion clones of himself that appear out of nowhere.

I'm kinda sad that that little douchenozzle Joffrey is still alive. I was hoping they'd redeem his idiocy by killing him off in the season finale. They didn't; I am saddened.

Last, I'm glad that the White Walker's finally decided to show their faces.

Does anyone else watch Food Network Star? It's been half a week and I am STILL furious that they got rid of Emily. That was a.deeply, deeply stupid elimination. Just, ARRRGH.. I'm not sure I wanted her to win, but I think she deserved to go much further than either of the two she was up against.

Was she the retro rad girl? I did like her a lot but I felt like she was always just a moment away from an emotional meltdown. Because she wasn't willing to share anything personal, it seemed that there was a lot of pain brewing underneath and maybe that's why she had the wall up. Every time she got asked about it, she would start to tear up. I was just worried about her ability to cope.

My favorite so far is Justin.

Frankly, I think choosing NOT to share a painful past oh national television speaks more to boundaries than walls.

Good on her. I wish her great future success running many seminars on canning and pressure cooking.

Oh, I don't there is anything wrong with her choosing to not share painful things but it was the fact that she seemed on the verge of a breakdown every time someone asked, that worried me. I wish she could have found something personal to talk about, so they could have felt a connection to her.

I couldn't stand Emily! There was just something so awkward about her that I felt very uncomfortable whenever she was on camera. I didn't really have a problem with the fact that she didn't want to get too personal, but i'm not upset with her going home.

My favorite is also Justin.

I really don't get why everyone likes Justin (not just here). His food can be interesting, but he bores me.

And would they please just get rid of Martita already? 30 seconds of dead air? Sheesh.

I can't stand Nicky, though.

I love Justin.

I hate Nicky, Martita and Marty.

I find Malcolm boring.

I think Yvon is kind of interesting. I like how chill Ippy is.

I don't like Michelle.

Overall, I'm a little underwhelmed with this season.

Can someone try to explain Justin's appeal to me? I'm really feeling like I'm missing something.

Nicky doesn't bug me the way she does some people, but I don't really like her.

Malcolm is kind of forgettable. Ippy bores me, though his pov could be interesting. I kind of like Michelle and Marty.Yvan made no impression at all till this week.

Overall, I just kind of feel like they're all sequels to shows and people we've seen before. I can't really imagine looking forward to watching any of them on their own week after week. Another reason losing Emily was not a good.decision. They HAVE shows on grilling and throwing parties and home cooking and Mexican food. DIY retro show? Something new.

I don't know that I can explain my love of Justin.

I like his look and vibe. I love that he's totally consistent--he seems the same in interviews, during challenges, whatever. He is who he is.

I like that he's young and ambitious (without being an a******) and wacky. I love that his food seems legitimately CRAZY and yet apparently tastes kind of awesome. I just think he rocks.

Marty irritates me. STOP RAMBLING.

Did you watch Top Chef? Justin reminds me of a softer, gentler Marcel. He does really crazy stuff with food and just enjoys being himself.

I loved last episode where Marty was freaking out about dusting too much chocolate on something and he runs up with a dish towel and is all "REMEMBER MY TIP, MARTY!!" Hilarious and adorable.

I don't like Nicky because she's a mean girl. She calls herself "sassy and edgy" but mostly, to me, she comes across as snotty and mean.

Is anyone here keeping up with Fringe? I fell off about a year ago, but I'm about to catch up - since I just realized it has a new season that sounds damn awesome from the synopsis that I just read.

Also, has anyone else watched The River?

I think this pretty much sums up why I like Justin also.

I don't really have any strong feelings for everyone else, but I did actually pay attention to Yvan after his Q&A last episode because it was a pretty touching story.

Right? Completely blew my mind. In fact, pretty much every actor in there I've been like "I am 100% sure I've never seen this person before in my life," until I look them up. Sean Bean and Peter Dinklage being the easy exceptions. But then I looked it up and was like "Holy crap, Littlefinger was Carcetti! How did I not realize."

Relates: I was always annoyed at Movie!Tonks because she didn't look anything at all similar to how I picture Book!Tonks. But it's much more fun to say that I've seen her naked, now.

Oh, an:
Seen her naked in-person?
Of course! On-set of Game of Thrones. I was invited down just for the one scene. They wanted my expertise in how to act like a complete scumbag backstabber who will kill his friends just to impress his father.

Minor spoiler that hopefully only makes sense in context.
