Oh good lord I almost collapsed into a quivering ball of "awwwwwwwwww."

Clearly, you need a bunny.

Steph, did you know that you have adorable children?

I agree with Nomi, Steph! She looks JUST like you. Beautiful!
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

Anne (turned 2 in February), totally started belting out her number in spanish in the car today. She was counting as normal in English (she usually gets to about 20), and then stopped, and went, "Uno, Dos, Tres, Quatro."

I didn't teach her that. She does, however, watch Go Diego Go and Dora The Explorer religiously. Epic WIN for them.

Hee hee. That sounds like Ginny suddenly knowing what a Manticore was from watching My Little Pony. (she said: "That brown spot on your door looks like a Manticore!")

In Kinley's prayer tonight she said "Please bless I can be nice to your face." It makes me wonder what she's planning to do behind my back!!

Tyler's reading evaluation today: 6th grade (end of year) level: 98% Accuracy and 5/6 on comprehension: independent (as opposed to guided). Which means they'll likely be testing him on 7th sometime this week.

With these being "end of year" levels, that will put him definitely at 7th grade reading level and possibly 8th grade, depending on if he tests and how it goes.

After opening her door after her nap one day, we found she had been busy converting her bookshelf into a three-tiered bunk bed for her babies - complete with 1-book pillows, and 2-book blankets.

You're doin' it right.

Tyler is having a garage sale on Saturday to raise money so he can go to Space Camp. They have a family program for as young as 7, so he'll go with Brian, my dad and possibly my brother. Today he worked on a poster that gives shoppers info on him and on Space Camp.

Image
Image

Here is the text from the poster. The first bit, he copied from the website. The last 2 sections, he wrote himself.

What is Space Camp?
*Space Camp was founded in 1982 as an educational camp program for children using the United States space program as the basis to excite children in the areas of math and science.
*The camp provides residential and day camp educational programs for children in various age groups and adults.

Why do I want to go to Space Camp?
Because I love science, I love meteors, and it might be cool to go to space someday.

A little about me:
Name: Tyler
Age: 7
Interests:
*books, *legos, *playing, *running, *swimming, *camping, *science!
Accomplishments:
*do the laundry, *10-mile hike,
*1st place team in robotics,
*IBM’s Innovation Academy
for a Smarter Planet.

I think his answers are so cute!! (He sees doing laundry as a note worthy accomplishment! Maybe I need to take that attitude.)

On a side note, he's starting 2nd grade on Thursday!

Brayden is so full of life and energy! We were at a children's festival a week and a half ago and there was a free climbing wall. Brayden was so excited and ran over, got helmeted and harnessed and made it half way up the wall before Brian even finished signing the waiver!

I love his face! It never ceases to cheer me up. This boy can be so, so frustrating, but his loving heart steals my heart every day.

Kinley is growing up so fast, I can hardly keep up! She's suddenly taller and is looking more slender like a kid, instead of like a squishy baby. She loves playing the piano and singing songs she makes up. (Most noteworthy: Once There was a Mouse and Once There was a Zombie in the Parade.) She loves her best friend, Nella, as you can see below. (She's giving her an airplane ride.)

Image

She decided last week after reading this book that she was done wearing diapers. She said, "I don't want to wear diapers any more." And that was that! She potty trained herself! (We've had about 3 accidents in the last week.) She looks so "grown up" in her undies!

I am insanely jealous! Potty training has been the worst part of parenting for us. I really hope Maggie is easier.

I love the updates on all your kids! You've got an amazing brood - it's been so cool to be a spectator in their growing up.
