Survived being the mom with the screaming baby in Target. Donny had damn well better like his birthday present.

If it helps, I suspect most other moms around you were thinking "You poor woman." Or even "ZOMG TINY BABY SO CUTE".

Today I am cracking open a book. A research book.

Yay! I will disagree with it but if you have a link, I'd like to see.

You can't just say something like that and not make with the linkage. That breaks all sorts of netiquette.

Yes, I said "netiquette". I am also fully aware that it is, in fact, the 21st century. What of it? :P

In between (finally) finishing a book, I got three loads of laundry washed/dried, folded, and put away this morning.

I fixed the rip in my fitted sheet. The seam split, so it was simple, but I had to work around my fear of sewing machines.

Survived having screaming Wal-Mart baby. It actually went much better since he was willing to suck on my finger this time. I fed him before we left, but he didn't seem to remember.

I don't understand how it's April already. I keep thinking it can't be later than February, tops.

I also don't understand how I keep getting so far behind on everything. I'm working fewer hours here than in AZ but I feel busier, all the time.

Lastly, I don't understand why Lou Malnati's can't cooperate and has to have delivery zones on either side of me that don't reach my apartment. I wonder if I could have it delivered to a random address on the outskirts of their delivery zone...

My friends used to do this all the time. Some places won't do it (probably because they're afraid of being robbed or something), but some will.

I posted a link on facebook that will probably offend my very conservative family and possibly a number of friends. It took weeks to convince myself to do it.

I'm not taking it down.

Whoa. It's been far too long since I've posted anything here. I miss you, Pweb, I have just been temporarily swallowed by wedding stuff and holiday stuff and family stuff and job interview stuff and getting healthy stuff and probably starting to build a house stuff. In other words, my life is like, vomiting stuff out at me and I haven't been able to clean it all up yet. Yay for gross metaphors. Weak ones, even.

My triumph is that despite all kinds of s***, I have not missed a single workout in the last 29 days, my diet has been super on point without ever once making me want to kill myself, and the reward for my hard work is that I've lost 9.6 lbs in 4 weeks. And I am freaking PSYCHED about it.
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

This morning durning my super productive morning I payed off the medical billy I accrued while going to the Dr.in January. I payed them all down to $0! This afternoon I got a phone call from the billing center for the hospital, and they couldn't figure out why they were calling me :). I think I was on there call and pester list this morning but my paying the bills got me off that list :D

I also took care of apartment bills, and other scheduling, and found a dress that my one armed gimp self can put on for the hobbit wedding on the 28th :)

Heh--timeless classic. Silly Alea. Though it really is a fitting description, come to think of it. It's way more timeless and classic than the other timeless classics out there. Who actually cares about Ben Hur or Casablanca?

I just realized that we're not fb friends. Why are we not fb friends? This needs to be remedied.
Probably because I haven't actually gotten around to being facebook friends with anybody on the board. :stoned: You are right, though--this should be remedied.

I got referenced in the Client Communications email by name!

(We get an email every month or so that compiles the responses to a survey every client is given when they check out. It's not common to get mentioned by name, so it makes me really happy!)

Is it wrong that my eyes momentarily rearranged this into "Battlestar Galactica"?

This felt like the best place for this, even though I didn't do anything, my bank did.

I can now use my check/debit card AS A DEBIT CARD. It used to only work as a credit card, strangely enough, but the bank must have gotten a clue that putting the word "debit" on it makes people want to use it as a debit card. Now I don't have to have cash for anything but laundry. Hurray! (Though, also in the "finally as happy about my banking as I was accustomed to being" realm, I also recently found an ATM that charges me nada for my money, so I can still pull cash if I ever want to.)

I can use my as either credit or debit, but if I use it as debit, it charges me $.25/transaction (on a separate charge from the charge I made) so I just use it as credit and they don't charge me any extra money and I don't have a whole bunch of $.25 lines on my online checking balance.

That makes no sense at all. It's cheaper for the bank if you run it as debit than if you run it as credit...

Now I can run mine as either debit (YAY) or credit, for free. This makes me happy. I do not, I repeat, do not, enjoy paying to use my own money and will boycott places that make me, even if it's my stupid bank's fault. Because I trust my bank, which is a CU, more than any other establishment out there with the possible exception of the other CU/bank that is basically the same thing and going somewhere else would be the much bigger evil than sucking it up and avoiding places that don't take credit.

Mine is a credit union, too. No charges for debit or credit or any other normal things.

I can run my debit card as either debit or credit without fees. My credit union is super awesome about fees and the like in general, but since it only exists in Alaska and Seattle, I always get charged at ATMs (Utah banks are mean). Usually I just avoid the ATMs and get cash back at the store if I ever need it. Which rarely happens, since practically everywhere takes plastic. The only time having a local CU has been really inconvenient is when I tried to cash a check. Wells Fargo made me show two forms of ID and fingerprint the check because I don't have an account there.
