Congratulations!
There's another home somewhere,
There's another glimpse of sky...
There's another way to lean
into the wind, unafraid.
There's another life out there...

Thanks all! Now just waiting for the appraisal on our new house, as the final step before the closing, though we aren't expecting any problems. The move should happen in about three to four weeks.. We're going to Florida from December 1 to 8 (which was planned before the move) and then we'll start packing boxes as soon as we get back. It's gonna be a busy month!

I didn't buy lofthouse sugar cookies while grocery shopping last night.

Sure I bought walmart bakery banana mini muffins instead, but I didn't get the sugar cookies.

I got a call from the library asking me to apply! I told the woman who runs storytime that I'd be applying once mt mat leave ended, and she called me yesterday saying that they really needed people and I should apply!

I rolled a natural 20 the first time I ever played D&D, which resulted in a standing invitation to quest with this group.

Here's one that no one will understand:

I can tell which cat threw up by observing the shape and consistency of the vomit.

Yeah, that's gross.

It kind of makes me sad that I completely understand that... Three different cats, three different types : (

Made a doctor's appointment.
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

Today was my first attempt at phlebotomy, and I hit the vein and got blood my first poke! Yes, the girl I was poking had to tell me where her vein was and where to poke, because I got a little lost and a lot nervous. And I didn't disconnect things in the right order at the end, so there was a bit of squirting (sorry squeemish people). But I got blood!

I helped my D&D group create a drinking game, a la Circle of Death, that involves d20s and bad D&D puns.

I know at least one person here understands these, but here are my slightly pathetic triumphs - all accomplished in one week!

Email checked.
Library books returned (new record fine!).
Got the fine erased (cute preemie baby).
Cleaned out the ominous leftovers from the fridge.

Edit:
Laundry folded and away.
Fixed my coat which has only been missing buttons since April. And the pocket which has had a hole for the past 3 years.

I submitted my last (of seven) internship applications. My references already sent in their letters. I officially do not have to worry about anything until the end of February at the earliest.
