I only saw this at all because Wil posted it on FB but since he isn't sharing it here, I thought I would. I really, really love this clip.

We for sure got the super cute house we put in a rental application for this weekend!
I also love that when I leave my PJ's on my bed, one of my cats will sleep on them. This means they're warm when I put them on!

Congrats on the house, Kim, and congrats on the birds, Nomi. Both are great things. :)

Mike the guy who owns and runs http://shop.bushcraftnorthwest.com/
Its a bushcraft/outdoor gear site that I was going to get Chris' only christmas present from. But it was OUT OF STOCK!!
I emailed mike and said "when will you have left handed spoon knifes in?!?!?!?!"
He emailed me back within an hour saying he actually had them, but he also offered to give me a better carving knife not offered on his site for the cost of shipping it to me!!!! I jumped on then in a heart beat. to pay for the shipping i ended up purchasing a collapsable stove that was a bit cheaper then the original spoon knife.
once shipping was added in I was able to purchase a stove, and get a better knife for free for the purchase price of the original knife! So now I can give Chris two presents I think he will really enjoy wen an hour ago i wan't sure if i'd be able to get him anything!!!!!!
If you are into this kind of thing I really suggest looking at the site. Chris has purchased things from them before an loved every item, they are great! And they have amazing service!!!!
I plan on sending him a thank you card after Christmas even though I've already thanked him half a dozen times!

I love the food processor attachment for my blender. The crust for my oreo cheesecake was done in a matter of seconds. I will never go back to a plastic bag and rolling pin again.

Re: Things that I love
My girl Kylie has been asked to attend Gonzaga U next year. Proud "hell yah! But I can already hear the kids bickering over us helping Kylie out more for school. Kylie has worked part time at the grocery store (like all her older sisters) since she got her drivers license ( a rule in our house ,I buy them all a safe car\truck of my choosing. but they get a PT job or work for me to pay gas, insurance and presents for dad.)so she is good stretching a buck and saving some of it for school. But this is gonna cost some serious bucks, Sarah still has 2 years to finish at Eastern St. and then I get a breather as My baby Maddie is just a freshman next year. As I look at a lot of you out there just starting your new familys and remembering how much it cost when Julie and I went to school (and how long it took to pay it back)and look what it costs now! Just since our oldest girl finished college i bet costs went up 25%. I feel for all of you , I know it's tuff as hell out there now for some of you and I hope the economy and opportunitys get better by the time your kids enter college. Damn it! I hope I don't sound like like a old coot , but I worry about s*** like this . Goodnight!

Rain all day, more or less, Chai when I got home from work, and I even had some knock-off GS Thin Mints for after dinner. I topped it all off with some reading and I'm feeling pretty good about the application I submitted today.

I love being able to stay up until three in the morning reading. And I love books that make it so I have no other rational choice but to stay up so late to finish them.

I love Ella Enchanted. It's just one of those great stories that never ceases to make me smile. If only they hadn't ruined the movie so thoroughly...

I love that within a day of putting up the bird feeders at my new house, I had 8 different kinds of birds visiting them. I was in a bit of a funk without my daily dose of birds. And today, we're going to rig up something so that I can see the bird feeders better from where I sit in my house.

I love getting out of lab early. It's not going to happen very often this semester, but I shall enjoy it today.

Re: Things that I love
It saddens me that "Things that I hate" has so many more pages than this one, so I am going to post something in this thread once every day. Hopefully, there won't be too many double posts (like this one), but that's up to the rest of you.
Today, I love that the sun is shining and making it so warm out. Sure, it doesn't feel like January in the slightest, but it makes starting a new and somewhat daunting semester seem a little more bearable.

Re: Things that I love
Shannon's post reminded me suddenly that in high school and for the next few years after I kept a journal/set of journals of "Things that make me happy." Usually there were one-word entries with little to no explanation, but sometimes I went on for paragraphs about a particular thing/person/place/whatever. I'd forgotten all about them until just now, and I'm excited to go home and flip through them. (As a general rule I NEVER go back and read my paper journals, or my old livejournal anymore, because it's too overwhelming, but I think I'll make an exception for these).

I'm sick of waiting

hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

In the first two weeks in our new house, I have seen 13 different birds and 3 brand new birds (including the Red-breasted Nuthatch which I have been wanting to find forever). Yay!

I love that I have enough art to cover my walls immediately. I love even more that I have so much, I'll most likely have to be picky about what goes up. I love, the most, that my family commented on this before I did. :) Oh, yeah, I really love my family. They've been so flipping supportive and helpful so far.
