Yikes! Super glad you're ok! Hitting a deer is no joke...
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

Never been a big fan of graphic novels, but I may give them a try. Are the two Whedons related? I'm more likely to read it if it's the true story and not fanfiction. Is darkhorse.com the only place to get them or are they in bookstores?

I believe Zack is Joss's brother, I believe. The comics are definitely considered the 'true' story - officially licensed, written by Joss, etc.

I think there are physical copies around, might be worth a look. Maybe try Amazon?

I personally quite liked the comics, especially the first few.

My Malibu needs a bath. She's filthy inside and out and is starting to stink. (Also, her driver should probably quit eating in her and getting crumbs everywhere. >.>)

I did a search and I can't find any post where I told the story here about the homing pigeon. Anyway, I found a homing pigeon in my yard and took pictures of it's leg bands to find the owner. After much effort, I did track him down. He wanted me to try and catch the pigeon and drive it to him. He lives 90 minutes away and has no car. Anyway, I only talked to him once during the initial contact but he was a persistent fellow. He seemed to develop a bit of a crush on me and has called and emailed a few times but I didn't reply any further. From his grammar you would think he wasn't a native speaker but he was. Here is his latest email:
hi my bird that was at youre feeder came home today , she looks great she is breed from good birds and 4 her 2 come back 2 me after 1 m or so is cool she had not muchroad work and was very young thanks 4 care wild bird feeder im gona name her naomi , i never name a bird but she is great hope we can chat or im im willedthing on aol .anyway i would like 2 buy you supper sometime if youre every in my area or what ever thanks call me or im jim in ma

I did finally write back and say that I was glad his bird made it home but that I wouldn't be able to meet him for dinner since I was married. :)

Apparently I pulled a Britta, since I pronounce oven as Oh-ven.

Never knew that was wrong until a friend interrupted a story to laugh at me.
For some reason, I gotta say I like the feeling of having my own pronunciation of a word. I say OH VEN and I'm proud. :)

(Not so proud of pronouncing "faux" as "fox" lol)

I have a friend with the surname Ovens - pronounced Oh-vens. You're not always wrong!

I remember that episode, that part didn't stick in my memory though...

I mean, now I know that you're referencing a specific comment from the show. But, I still don't know what it means :(
...I don't know much about ATNT. Other than it's a telephone company or something like that.

I actually don't get it, either, but I knew it was a quote from Community. The quote was actually funnier out of context than in, to me. I enjoyed that episode, though.

Yep! Fred and I spoke about it way back in July, or whenever she did her Spotlight interview. I don't remember if the conversation made it in but I think we decided he is now working for Google.
