You look fantastic and I want one in at least three colors.
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

1. You look great. I love the boots especially.

2. Your co-workers are annoying. I hate it when people make a big deal out of things like that. I cringe on your behalf.

Girly(?) thing: I walked around the grocery store while breastfeeding! I'm so proud that I was able to do it. I had her in the carrier, so I was able to do it incognito and it was very liberating. I'm feeling proud of myself. Multitasking Mommy FTW.

I think you look great, and I'm thrilled my necklace was part of it! But I totally understand feeling awkward, too. Yesterday I put on a nicer top (remember the one with the bright colours and paisley?), and I kept getting compliments on how I looked. "Thanks, I wanted to pretend to be a human being today instead of a lab rat! Glad it's working!"

You know what makes me mad? I know a whole bunch of people that think breast feeding is gross and should never be done outside of the home. Instead, I think they should be applauding people like you for being willing to go through the effort to do the natural and beneficial thing, and feeling comfortable enough to do it in public while still being modest about it. :-)

I do remember it and I'm sure you looked lovely in it. :) But yes, certain types of attention are just going to be awkward or uncomfortable for some people. I'm glad you understand. Seriously glad.
Wear more dresses you goober and it will become less awkward.

No one needs an excuse for a kilt.

I just cut my own hair for the first time, other than bangs. I have a chin-length bob but there was the little chunk in the back that had grown longer than the rest and it was really bugging me. It had only been about 5 weeks since my haircut and I didn't feel like paying for another cut so soon. So, I just wet it and starting cutting. I think it turned out okay.

I need my hair to get long again. My short 'do is fine and all, but I miss having lots of hair to play with.

I occasionally miss having long hair but when I consider trying to grow it out, I remember that when I did have it long, I always wore it up. That's why I cut it.

I'd love to hear your take on it.

I've seen the movie he referred to, Gaslight. It was chilling and disturbing because of how close to home it hit. Not at all in regards to my husband but the abusive relationship I went through a few years back. Gaslighting is probably a good way to describe one of the main tools that he used to manipulate my heart, mind and soul. Once he had me under control in those aspects, then I had nothing left to fight for when it came to the physical abuse. I was a shell.

I really thought the article made some great points. I don't think that all men do it, and I'm sure some women are guilty of it as well. But overall, I think that these are abusive trends that women have to deal with and overcome.

Also, I want to add...I have also experienced similar type of behavior from well-meaning family, including my mother. So, I definitely don't think it's exclusively men that do it.

I wish I had more body in my hair
I totally read that as, "I wish I had more body hair."

I also read it as more body hair. And I was like, what the heck? She can have some of mine! And then I reread it.
