Definitely mating. And it's so cool how the parents have such Canadian accents but your nephew has an Australian one.
I know! It's very funny that his parents don't think he has one, but every time they post a video or I talk to him on the phone, he's such an Aussie.

Haha, it took me a moment to figure out what you were talking about. If you're just noticing what I think you're noticing, I did that a few weeks ago... (Let's keep this conversation ambiguous to see if anyone else can figure it out on their own.)

It makes me a little sad that kids are growing up, not knowing what "Be kind, Rewind" means.

After two more new-to-me movies, I'll have matched my total for 2010, which obviously means after three more, I'll have beaten it.

My book reading...not going so hot. But I can shift focus once I hit the movies.

Bah, I'm no better than my patrons for choosing movies over books.

Well, the difference between VHS and the record is, the record never truly went away with music aficionados and is making a somewhat impressive comeback, whereas I don't see VHS convincing anyone that it has a more authentic, better quality look to it than DVD/blu ray.

But, yes, I do think it's at least a little sad that some people will never have the pleasure of hearing the snap, crackle, pops of a record playing.

Mmmm, Rice Krispies style music.

You sprinkle the naked matress with it, leave for an hour or so, then vacuum away. It absorbs all the odors!

Yeah. We've got a new monitor thingy on the way.

The best part? As much as we try not to have too much "this is mine, that is yours" in our marriage, this is Paul's computer.

I wish I could blame the kids.

As someone who works on people's computers all the day long, I can say that this is the only way to do computers. Everybody needs their own. That way when it gets infected, or otherwise messed up, there's no blame to toss around. I've seen married people bicker on and on and on and on over who's fault it was that something on their shared computer didn't work right.

Of course this applies to people who rely on their computers for most things. If you wouldn't care if your computer died, then you can share it with someone else who also doesn't care.

Brian and I do fine sharing a computer. *shrug*

Jan, that sucks! I remember years ago how awful I felt when I stepped on my PDA with my super-high healed Italian shoes. (Yep, I still remember the shoes I was wearing.) I had saved my massage tips for months to buy that thing and in just one step, it was gone. It was a sad day.

The closest thing I had to a PDA was a Noka N770.

Oh, I had them too. I think the time that I had one and a cell phone overlapped slightly. But I mostly used mine for games, an address book and a calendar. So, once cell phones were advanced enough to do that, I had no need anymore.

I knew when I took the revised GRE in August that I would not get my results until November.

What I did not know was how antsy I would get waiting.

I just accidentally impulse purchased a $200 HP Touchpad bundle from QVC. What a strange feeling it is to say that $200 was an impulse purchase.

Not bad, though. A few weeks ago the 32gb HP Touchpad was on sale for $150, and the bundle comes with a $60 dock and a $20 case. The unit itself is still selling on ebay for $250 alone. Worth it, I think. :-)

Only 12% of people solve this in under 30 seconds: Say the opposite of these 6 words: 1. Always, 2. Coming, 3. From, 4.Take, 5. Me, 6. Down
So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.

Really? It took me less than ten....
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant
