I once got at coldstone cheesecake with brownies mixed in. anything bigger than a small would have been sugar coma inducing.
I suddenly miss my dad. when I was a kid, he would make homemade icecream about every month or so. He made the most awesome vanilla.

I will never forget for all time until my life is exhausted-

A story that made me go "what", as I am wont to do.
I feel like I've been shown that before, but I forgot about the actual specific reasons he was let go until now. Not sure if it was pweb that told me about it or what, but there it is.
Edit:
Moonbase Alpha provides a realistic simulation of people on the internet. This is probably rather late, as I've been away from pweb for a few days, but alas.

I hated flossing at first because my teeth were so close together that it was almost impossible to get floss in there.
Then I got my wisdom teeth removed and was told flossing should be easier and that I really should be doing it, only to find that my mouth is so small I couldn't fit my fingers and a piece of floss in to get to anything past my first couple of teeth.
Then I discovered these little floss pick type things that are small enough to get to the back teeth and now I kinda love flossing, and i've been really good about actually doing it and not getting lazy.

This morning I totally dreamed about the exact kind of coat-and-winter-gear rack I would design. Now I wish I had that sort of skill.

You know you're a geek* when you cut yourself shaving, and immediately plunge your leg back into the water so you can watch the dispersion pattern of the blood. And then are fascinated when it changes texture and density and appears to be clotting. And keep watching it for the 5 minutes or so it takes to stop bleeding.

I'm trying to teach myself Portuguese and I'm having middling success so far with the basics.
Ola. Como vai?
Vou bem! E voce?
Tudo bem, obrigado/a.
I'm having a hard time with spelling, though. I know how to say good morning, good afternoon, and good evening, for instance but the pronunciation and spelling are so far removed as far as I can tell, I have no idea how to type it out. Bom dia, I think, is it how it's spelled. Bohm JEEah is how it is pronounced.
I don't expect to become fluent but it's fun, in a headache inducing, this is so much more awesome to listen to and not try to understand/know way.

I shipped a container of Ultem to Hong Kong last night.
I find it amusing that the raw materials for some of the plastic products that are stamped Made in China/Taiwan/etc that everyone has in their homes were made by a Saudi-owned chemical plant in Indiana, shipped across the Pacific to be made into whatever, then shipped back to where it came from as finished product.

A conversation at my house:
Me: Check it out, Brian and Steph went to Hong Kong so he could balance eggs! He broke the world record!
Paul: He really balances eggs? I thought that was just a screen name.
Me: He's the world champion in egg balancing, dude.
Paul: How do you balance an egg? *type type, Google, Google*
[ten minutes pass]
Paul: (from the kitchen) Check it out! I did it! It's not even that hard!
Me: Sweet. Now do that 900 more times.
In conclusion, congrats Brian, you are cool.

How to follow up that euphemistic filled posting just above this? (Most VM is short and to the point but oh yes, it can go longer...anyway.) How about with a random story of the day.
I agreed to meet someone from SR today -timeout here; may I just say, "Holy cow, it's amazingly easy to meet people who come to you." This may change things for me. Anyway, story. I did my hair before I left because it had a mind of its own from my going to bed with wet hair but wouldn't you know it, it's windy enough outside for me to end up looking like Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter when I arrived at the coffee shop.
Then the smoothie I bought -with money borrowed against myself since I have no money in my "Okay to Spend" fund- was really boring and bland and small and overpriced.
I think I freaked this person out; she really seemed way too sweet to be caught with the likes of me, as I was this blathering, uninteresting idiot the entire time. Which really just goes to show, I'm way better over the internet than in person.
When I got home, there was a poster tube (mail) outside my bedroom door and I thought, "Huh. Someone is trying to pipe bomb me." Why do I think this first and not, "Huh. Someone is probably sending me a poster"?
I recklessly opened the pipe bomb/poster and there was a giganto map of Chicago inside and when I realized this, I squealed just loud enough to scare the poor puppy yet again.
The end.

That would be it, though I feel weird about broadcasting the URL here, even though at least four other Pwebbers post there.
I simultaneously feel more grown up and more childish there, but either way, it's a nice break/change of pace from here. They hardly know who I am and have pretty low expectations of me; that is nice beyond belief.

It's beautiful, isn't it?
And what's that, Meagan; you want to go to Chicago? And you want me to go with you, to show you around, by which you mean you want me to be in the city at the same time as you but doing my own thing and letting you do yours? Just tell me when!
On a more serious, less obnoxious note, I really do hope you liked what you saw of it, even if it only was via film. Part of the opening shots were relatively close to the view I've had flying in, which is in my top three favorite views of the city (the other two being looking at the skyline from the steps of Adler Planetarium and heading into the Loop at night from Lincoln Park on the Brown line of the El).
I enjoyed the shot of the belly of Cloud Gate (le Bean!), as well, because I've spent a lot of time underneath that thing just staring up into it.
Really, though, the best part of the city for me is just being on the street, exploring all the little nooks and crannies of the various neighborhoods.
There was a line in the movie, something about hanging around Millennium Park because that's where they should be or were happy to be, I can't recall the exact wording and a little part of me shouted (on the inside, I wasn't going to be rude to the other movie goers), "Hell yes!"
But, on another, related note, how did you like the movie?

Summer 2012, the science fiction Worldcon will be there (so I'm probably going then because the depths of my nerdyness know few bounds)! And hopefully I will have several friends living there by then (It has become one of my friends top choices for graduate school, apparently, as well. The Chicago magnet is strong, as he's never been there (It was funny, at the beginning of the movie my dad goes "What city is that?", so he's apparently never been there either)).It's beautiful, isn't it?

I liked it quite a bit as long as I didn't try to make a rational explanation about anything. I might like it more on re-watch, which is weird, because I'm avoiding re-watching Moon for the opposite reason. I think Duncan Jones may be replacing Daron Aronofsky as my science fiction-y auteur of choice. But, on another, related note, how did you like the movie?
So don't go worrying about me
It's not like I think about you constantly
So maybe I do, but that shouldn't affect
Your life anymore
