I just about died laughing from that Disney princess post.
I know, right? I got a HP mini right when they started to enter the market to compete with the EePC, and I loved it to pieces. It did everything I needed and wanted, and really the only problem I had with it was that the cord was almost as big as the comp itself.Random: After a month of using the netbook that I talked about buying a while back I've decided that netbooks are very underrated little devices. The ipad may look cool and be fun to play with but I can't for the life of me understand how anyone can argue that it has greater functionality for anything but a narrow range of applications. My computing needs aren't great. I'm not a PC-gamer and I don't care about being able to stream HD video (although my netbook streams 720p a lot better than I was lead to believe it would), but so far I haven't found anything that I do on my desktop PC that my netbook can't handle.

I'm unsure of how I feel about Cowboys vs Aliens. They got all these big names to be in and direct it, which helps persuade me but still...

That movie is just so darn quotable. Would you say I have a plethora of piñatas?

The trailer looked fun. And it's such a campy concept, I can't expect much of it, and thus can't be too disappointed.

I'll probably watch it, if only because I saw Warrior's Way, which was pretty much ninjas vs cowboys. This will help round all that out, and campy man movies can be fun.

My only problem with mine is the matte LCD display. Not it's size or quality, but how easily it's blemished and how hard it is to clean said blemishes without making them worse or actually damaging the screen. Why does it have to be so delicate?I just about died laughing from that Disney princess post.

because the easier it breaks, the sooner you need to buy a new one. I can't even OPEN the case on my old acer without breaking something, making it impossible to fix.

I dunno, the fact that it is too delicate to clean would indicate inferior quality. My only problem with mine is the matte LCD display. I would love it if HP would have the option for a matte screen for all their laptops, but alas, my dm1z only has glossy as an option.

Maybe I'm just being too careful, but I've read about how easily such screens get scratched, and how you need a special mixture of vinegar and distilled water slightly moistening special whipes, which must be applied with minimal pressure, or some such nonsense.

I just use a lightly wet microfiber cloth, no vinegar or anything.Maybe I'm just being too careful, but I've read about how easily such screens get scratched, and how you need a special mixture of vinegar and distilled water slightly moistening special whipes, which must be applied with minimal pressure, or some such nonsense.

It procedurally creates a better car! Just a fun thing to watch change over a few minutes/episodes of a show/hours.

Saliva doesn't work well on LCD screens. I know that much from experience.Best and cheapest way to remove marks from screen:
1. Lick finger
2. Apply saliva to mark
3. Wipe VERY softly with tissue
4. Tada!

So...my day in Tucson has been pretty fun. I don't really do anything while here but I feel a little more at ease or alive, something. Have some randomness. My brother, by the way, thinks I'm crazy for having these "conversations/interactions" in public.
Me: You look hungry...I have a chorizo con huevos burrito in the car, if you want it.
Skeleton:
Me: Or not.
Dude 1: What the hell? Do you have a problem or something?
Dude 2: Whoa, no, no problem here. Relax.
Dude 1: I'm just saying, if you have a problem, f****** tell me.
Dude 2: Back off, guy. I don't want any problems here.
And so on....

I have conversations with things too. I'm ever inspired by my older sister's "This is what you get for being a turkey" speech one Thanksgiving.

I just spent the last two hours updating all of the code I've written for the new website so that it's all indented properly throughout every single page (mmm, proper indentation!), as well as all the public pages being 100% XHTML compliant. Can't speak for the non-public pages, but that's okay.
I'm a little bit OCD about things looking nice (even code), I think.
Also, fun fact:
I've written a total of 6086 lines of code by hand ([X]HTML, PHP, CSS), with exactly 200 comments throughout, in 31 files. Fun times.

I started a "List of Celebrities We've Never Met (that Need to be Punched in the Face)" today at work! Definitely the most fun I've had all week.
Surprising entries (to me): Jason Mraz ("He's just too happy! I HATE IT"), Cameron Diaz ("She's just a complete [CENSORED]"), Tom Cruise [not a surprise, but the justification is:] ("Have you seen any of his movies? He's always running and it looks so stupid!")
Unsurprising entries: Ben Affleck, Bruce Willis, that Lead Singer Guy from The B-52s.
It all started when we were talking about the least surprising entry of all, Jeff Goldblum, and I brought up how there's something about him that makes me want to punch him in the face, even though I've never met him and don't know at all what he's like in real life.
Does anyone else have anything like that? A list of celebrities that they want to punch in the face? I have a friend who has one, but his list is... unsurprisingly longer than mine. He's a pretty angry person. I generally try to avoid jumping to conclusions that someone I don't even know deserves a punch in the face, but I mean, come on. The lead "singer" of the B-52s is about the most aggravating person in the world.
