Welcome to pweb rebirth.
Okay, I'm not sure if I have some weird settings or something, or if everyone's set up like this.
My name doesn't appear in the "Users browsing this forum" list. Now I *know* I'm online and browsing this forum, but I'd appreciate it if it didn't try to tell me I'm invisible...
Edited a couple of seconds later... Oh, I see... all I have to do to not be invisible is to complain about being invisible. How you love to tie my brain in knots!

If you do need any technical help, however, I can offer my assistance. (Do you guys ever modify the board code itself anyway? I don't know if knowing PHP helps me out at all here.)Seriously, what all is involved in running the forum like you do, Amka? Do I have to know programing and such? If so I don't have the skills, but I do think I have the responsible nature and time commitment to be an "in charge" person.

Dahling, you aren't the arbiter of pweb rankings. It's been a part of pweb for a long time, and I, for one, would like to see it back. It's part of what makes pweb pweb, for me.

Not everything, though. (For example, the current inability to upload avatars.... if that is actually a desired feature and not something that was simply disabled.)these types of forums are pretty simple. knowing php helps on the back side, but most of the stuff they'd probably would want done would be using a handy dandy user interface.
Edit:
By the way, was there any specific reason for this rebirth? Just curious, since I'm not aware of any right now. (Like, something crashed or otherwise broke.... or some problem with the old board software.... or we just felt like getting a new one?)

Out of curiousity, is there a button that can mark everything as "read" without you having to read all of it?
Because the little button to the left of the forum name is yellowish when you haven't read something in it. I really like that feature, because it lets you know straight off what you haven't read. However, I don't like either having the yellow thing be eternally yellow or having to click on every thread that is yellow before it turns grey again.
... does that make sense?
So, is there a way to mark things like that?

It could just be disabled. I'm pretty sure just about everyone has the ability to put things like that out on the web somewhere and not have to save it to pweb. *shrug* but i could imagine why it would be turned off.
you're right though, not everything is changeable through the interface, of course. most of the things that our mods would be taking care of though, are.

...or such is what they want you to think. Secretly they are combining to become the real staaleve. With their powers combined, they would be unstoppable.Staaleve...I think you might be obsolete...Taal is leaving for his mission and Steve hasn't joined yet...
