I am re-reading EG after finishing the Shadow serries... Planning to read Exile and then re-read the Speaker books...
But something is bugging me... The "preludes" to each chapter in EG...
I remember them being emails with a From and To like in the shadow serries.
Was this changed in the 1991 re-issue or do I not remember the 80's very well

I don't recall them being emails but just conversations (between Graff and Chamragnar?).

Re: Question about the 1991 re-issue of EG
The 80's EG (c. Ender's War) has them as conversations, not emails. The Speaker books have some email-esque things, though I think they're all one-sided. Maybe that's what you're thinking of?

Re: Question about the 1991 re-issue of EG
Not talking about "Ender's War" never heard of that one...
The original 1985 EG publication was the version of the book I read 1st ... owned a copy and read again before "lending" to a friend... more years ago than I am going to admit now.
I am now reading the 1991 version of EG ... the Introduction written by OSC mentions that the 1991 version has "minor changes as I fix the errors and internal contradictions and stylistic excesses that have bothered me..."
Anybody have a 1985 version of the Book? ... or ehmmm is old enough to have read the original version?

I have the first edition. They're conversations, not emails.

Thanks Syphon or looking/confirming... I realized about 2 hours after writting my last post and reading a few more chapters ... that it was a dumb question...
Very clearly real time conversations not emails like we see in the Shadow Books.
