According to Neil DeGrasse Tyson, it needs a canonical system of measurments for the things it studies.
Eh, it works, but not quantitatively. Correct me if I'm wrong, I've never studied it but it seems that one is taught how the majority of people will behave in certain situations and how to determine the types of people not counted or included in that majority. I have little respect for it but it's probably misplaced. I took a psych test and apparently I am antisocial, maladaptive, schizoid and a bunch of other things. One good thing it listed was empathic, but that's about it.
Interestingly I was social as opposed to selfish but antisocial as opposed to social.
The only thing that I knew for certain was true was the "high need for order" part.
