When nearly every page of Ender's Game is dog-eared to mark pages with good quotes and comments.

Plus 5 points if your other Enderverse books look like that also.

You had to write a report for english on a novel of your choice, and used Xenocide and Children of the Mind, because it was supposed to be one book.

When you try to explain the term philotic web, and evidently do it in such a manner that the idea sounds so plausible that the person says "oh, all that physics stuff".

when you entertain yourself in church by pretending you are in the battle room. (there is just something about my church that makes me feel like I'm in the battle room)
the opposite of war isn't peace...it's creation.

when you get in horrible screeming fights in walmart about who is better, ender or bean.

almost got kicked out we were being so disruptive... one of the best times ive ever had.

when you make your mother read it outloud to you while you cry so you dont get the pages wet..... didnt really help much though cuz she was crying too...

when you keep a copy of the book in your car... just in case.

when you design a system for your english class based on EG with commanders and battles and armies and... well basicly everything

- my english teacher started doing this with another teacher and his history class... it has developed into a HUGE system thats really more of a real life mmo, but you get graded on it... its freekin sweet, every school should do it. i feel aweful that i cant explain it better, but it is amazingly complex.
Into that world inverted
Where left is always right,
Where the shadows are really the body,
Where we stay awake all night,
Where the heavens are shallow as the sea is how deep,
And you love me.

You better have been arguing in favour of Ender, or get ready for another fight!

Nah, just kidding. They're both cool... but Ender is better.

Ummm....
Well, I guess I had to come to terms with it sooner or later.
And I thought I was strange...I'm home!

When you are so desparate for an Ender related e-mail address that you settle for Ender_-_-_Wiggin_356458382@hotmail.com

(not actually an address)

When you use "bugger-lover" and "third" as insults in real life.

When you kick the crap out of your brother because he likes Harry Potter better than Ender.

When your nickname, your brother's nickname, and your sisters nickname all come from Ender's Game.

When you cry even THINKING about Ender's Game.

When you play World of Warcraft with an Alliance human warrior named "Enderwiggin" and try to create a raiding guild divided into toons and toon leaders and hold practices and NO ONE WANTS TO!! If anyone ELSE wants to help me, I'm on private server burningwow.servegame.com realm Netherstorm, characters Durham for Horde, Enderwiggin for Alliance. I want to create a guild called EnemyGateIsDown (as that's the battle cry).

Or when you carry the books around like a security blanket.

Or have tattoos of quotes from the book.

When you nickname your appendages: A toon, B toon, C toon etc...

Then when walk into daily life you have to call out to each to perform routine tasks:

"A and B! Slide down the walls and grab that pencil and pull back! C and E will cover you!!"

A group of us from work went to play laser tag, and I mentioned to one of my co-workers that my daughter no longer likes to play laser tag with me because I'm always shouting "Remember--the enemy's gate is down!"

When I mentioned this to my daughter, she said, "No, dad--if you're playing laser tag, it's OK."

I was so proud...

When you go back and forth in your head about whether you actually wholly believe in Philotes and being entwined with everyone and everything or do you just "suspend belief for the purpose of entertainment" as most people do with fiction.

When, after having the above debate, you decide its the most plausible explanation for the world around us and decide to adopt it as your general view about how the world works.

When you are sad that you cant talk to your earring or computer screen.

When you have erotic dreams about characters. Seriously.

When you realize you are a part of this forum and, after reading around a bit, you discover you arent the only E.G obsessed freak on the planet.

When you wish that the Philoticweb had a "personals" section so you could match yourself up with the perfect mate, who of course should share your obsession with E.G.

When the only thing stopping you from reading an Enderverse book is the fact that you can still quote passages from that book verbatim.

Curse my memory! I WANT TO READ SHADOW OF THE GIANT AGAIN.

When you're in a class where the professor is attempting to explain Buddhism basics, and you realize the way you're starting to understand it is by the ways it differs/conflicts with philotic theory.

...and you think about bringing it up with someone before realizing how very very stupid that would sound.

You try to bounce off the walls without using your feet.

You write an epitaph (the gravestone passages) for Quing Jao during English class.

You hear a song on the radio and immediately think about how it can relate to a character in EG.

you hear your math teacher's (ms. dao) name called you immediately jump up and start pointing at people and scream I GOT YOU! YOUR FROZEN!

you consider your friends your jeesh

you want to take a family trip to Greensboro just to see peter's house

you say salaam to everyone just to be like alai

You say ho instead of hi

That's all I could think of..
"Killing Buggers was not homicide."
"No, I guess it was insecticide."

When you start believing in philotes.

You mean they aren't real
