Talk about anything under the sun or stars - but keep it civil. This is where we really get to know each other. Everyone is welcome, and invited!

It's that time of year again, for everyone's favorite anachronistic unnecessary time change. Remember to set all of your clocks that don't automatically do so back an hour!

I will be spending my extra hour getting work done and hopefully getting to sleep at a slightly more reasonable hour. What are you doing during this annual time-warp backwards?

Ugh. I'm at work. I better get paid for the extra hour.

Best time for DST ever, since I have a big exam tomorrow. I didn't feel guilty about sleeping until 8 (aka 7) today. :)

I don't think it's anachronistic at all. In fact, I like it. It's green.

An extra hour to kick around in the morning, I love it!

DST means that when my friends finally left last night, it was just after 4 rather than just after 5. That can only be good, considering that we're going to need to do a s***** of schoolwork later.

Change...clocks? Who in the hell needs to do that?

Oh right. All of you non-Arizonans.

Only, I'm pissed off by the time change because it means I'll be up until midnight every Sunday (to watch a show) instead of just 11pm like last week.

I agree with you.

Sure I may not have an exam; but this extra hour is really helping me with my school load, even if it is only a part-time school load. It is still a Master's class on top of a full-time job. :)

I worked when we set the clocks forward last spring. They docked my pay one hour.

My VCR automatically changed the time back... on the last Sunday in October.

I couldn't figure out how to change the time to the real time, so I just had to change the time I had the recorder set to record Heroes an hour earlier, and then an hour later the following week when the VCR finally was the correct time...

You would think electronics (especially computers) would let you not only specify if you want it to automatically change for DST, but it should let you set when the changes are. After all, this year apparently wasn't the first time the government changed when DST was.

Fascinating!

Alas, it was a red herring anyway. I really just like DST because the extra hour (it's worth the grumblings during Spring).

We had Sleepless Night in honor of setting the clocks back.

It was declared a success and they are planning one for 2008, as well. I may actually go, next year. :)

Yeah, my vcr asks if you want it to adjust for DST and it also has a manual time set. So, it must depend on the brand you have. (I am having a heck of a time typing correctly with a maniac kitten running amok across my keyboard).
