Where's noodle been? I suppose it's only been a week since he last posted, so I probably should miss him quite yet, but alas.

I ate him with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

I'm here. Been a crazy few weeks at work and in life in general. I've been checking the site periodically but mostly lurking. Hopefully I'll be more social soon.

I'm still here. Life has been harder than usual of late, and most of my thoughts tend to the bleak and not-fun-to-share. But I'll try to check in more regularly.

someone else moos? I've been mooing since the early 90s on IRC.

Oh, and hi everyone, sorry for my extended absence. I have no excuses, really, I haven't been particularly busy or anything since I'm still only part-time employed, but I do keep my self busy with some games, a lot of TV and reading, and doing things with friends in town, the local freethought group, and a couple of choirs I sing with from time to time.

Mostly, though, I tend to ignore stuff like forums, news feeds, anything that if I miss a couple of days of reading I feel like I'm terribly far behind. It isn't as bad falling-behind-wise with pweb as my feeds, though... I have to go through once a month and mark thousands of items as read without looking at them. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't start ignoring it once they pile up a bit.

Oh, and I've been reading a lot lately (books, not newsfeeds or pweb, obviously), in addition to all the other stuff I fill up my enormous amount of free time with so I don't go insane. :)

That's been my excuse for not reading any webcomics for the past couple years. It was bad enough reading their backlogs when I started them but trying to find where I left off somewhere in the middle and catching up now would be almost impossible!

In my Google reader:

Webcomics, 286 unread
Friends blogs, 5 unread (not many of my friends blog that I know about, and I avoid asking)
News blogs (tech news mostly, also some music), Google gave up counting how many unread... Engadget and Gizmodo alone Google has given up counting...
Atheism/science/philosophy, Google also gave up counting...
Food, 196 unread.

I don't want to give any of it up, though!

Jota is moving to China! For, like, a year!

I like to imagine he's looking for Claire, a bit slowly.

Human/Kelsey. She's still my Facebook friend, but we haven't interacted in a long time. And she's been gone a long time from pweb.

Boo!

No promises on how long I stick around though. Work has been consistently kicking my ass for months. I tend to go on posting sprees when I am at the tipping point stress-wise.

So....

SPREEE!!!!

Talk about conflicting interests...I don't want you to be stressed but I do want you to be stressed if that's what brings you here.

However, I will go with don't be stressed because that is the nice thing to want.

Well stress has just become a part of life. Today was a particularly bad day. But it is always nice having this place in my back pocket. It is like coming home. I never intend to leave, but it happens from time to time.

My posting sprees tend to spring from similar circumstance. Life's pretty good right now though, so--*lurks*
