I thought it was Noah.
My husband also thought that the assassin was Noah. It makes sense.
I only got a brief glimpse of the guy walking away, and he looked kinda skinny, so I just automatically assumed it was Peter.

And although it would make sense for Noah to be the assassin, it's also kinda predictable - ie the company tells Noah to kill Nathan or Claire dies, but what could make Peter assassinate his own brother? I'm really curious to see how this turns out.

Sorry. After I just said I wasn't gonna get into it and all. But having just watched the episode: Peter didn't kill Nathan: he was standing right next to him during Nathan's announcement.

I think the assumption is that if it was Peter, it was a time traveling Peter from the future. Probably a future that turned out badly because of Nathan's announcement. I don't think that it was him though.

I liked it. But I was still holding out against hope that Candace would show up. I knew it just wasn't meant to be.

West: "I want you to keep your secret."
Claire: "Huh? Are you really west?"
West: "Uhm... got to go." *leaves*
Mr. Bennet: "I've come from beyond the grave to tell you to keep your secret!"
Claire: "Uhm... this is just getting weird"
Mr. Bennet: *morphs into Candace* okay, no fooling you is there.

I thought it was Mr. Bennet walking away. That would make sense since he said "I made a deal with The Company that they won't bother you if you don't reveal your secret."

And, who knew? I finally liked Elle. She's not evil! Just ... misunderstood! Go, Elle! Fight! Win!

Yes! Sylar is back in action! Using his powers on a can of spinach, no less!

I wonder what all that other stuff in the safe was about...

Okay, now on to my comedic thoughts.

--------------------------------------------------

Adam: "Okay, now all you need to do is get past this safe"
Peter: "How?"
Adam: "Uh, just use one of your powers?"
Peter: "Like, read your mind, or something?"
Adam: "No! definitely something else."
Peter: "I know! Telekinesis!"
*Metal begins bending*
... 25 minutes later ...
*Crunch*
Peter: "We're in!"
Adam: "Maybe now is a bad time to bring it up, but you could have just walked through that wall."

-------------------------------------

West: "You shouldn't reveal your secret, Claire. I like having secrets. I ... I ... I love you!"
Claire: "Well, I'm tired of hiding."
West: "Fine, you're on your own then."
Claire: "Do you have anything else to say?"
West: "Yes, I certainly do. I have to go now. My planet needs me." *flies away*
(Note: he died on the way back to his home planet..)

-----------------------------------------

Me: Mrs. Petrelli? What is your power anyway.
Mrs. Petrelli: You will forget this conversation.
Me: Does it deal with memory? And what about your husbands power?
Mrs. Petrelli: Don't believe anyone. My husband thought he was invincible. Now my sons do, too. Obviously his genetic disorder was passed down.
Me: Is your power to be completely ambiguous?
Mrs. Petrelli: Yes ... and no.

I get the jokes; but in all fairness they needed to be dramatic. :)

Also, if they did walk through walls, then how was the rest of the group suppose to get to them, especially Nathan.

ugh, I'm still kinda pissed at how s***** season 2 was, really threw a spotlight you can't ignore on all the flaws of season one.

Not the greatest television show ever, but still entertaining I suppose.

SO.

Season three begins tonight.

And you know what? I am going to keep an open mind.

I KNOW, RIGHT?!?!

Shocking, but true. I'm in a particularly good mood these days. What the hell, and here's hoping.

Neo-dragon...You were Right  I didn't even guess that.

I have a prior season related question though. How exactly did Sylar survive gunshots and otherstuff, before he got Claires power????
That was never explained.

Sylar survived because the network executives said he had to survive. pretty simple explanation really.

Oh how quickly the tune changes...

Things I learned about from Heroes in season three thus far:

Maya does not wear a bra.
Spidermans true identify is Mohinder Surresh.
Parkman can talk to turtles. (Why was the African man telling him that a plant would give water while he was holding a water bag?)
All Petrellis are pretty promiscuous. (Say that five times fast.)

Heroes is starting to get too X-men-ish. Everyone except Ando has powers now, there's a terrible possible future where super-powered individuals are persecuted (I half-expected to see Sentinels), and even the powers are becoming more comicbook-like, with Mohinder (Spider-man) Suresh, Icewoman, and the Flash/Quicksilver. I think we're about one season away from everyone wearing tights.

ETA: It is nice that they finally showed how exactly Sylar steals powers, and even poked fun at the popular fan theory that he ate brains.

I LOLd at this.
These first two episodes may have been mindblowing, but they arent bad. Seriously. Im glad they brought the flash person in, a perfect antagonist to Hiro who slows down time.

Let's see. Hiro can 1) Reverse time. 2) Speed time up. 3) Move anywhere he wants in space AND time.

So, reasonably, Hiro should be able to stop time completely. So, why is it that a person who is just fast can still move while Hiro has time stopped? Sounds like another convenient ability flaw/ability hole.

Hey, apparently I shouldn't open this safe! That's ok, because as someone with a really cool super power there are tons of cool things I can be doing.

Hey, an unproven magic science thing? Maybe I'll wait for the tests to get back before I do anything rash with that thing. It might have unintended side effects.

And more to the point:

So they have this secret ultra ultra secure location for the most dangerous super-powered villians - WHY WASN'T ADAM THERE LAST SEASON?

Why even have that thing? Why on Earth would you keep them around? It's not like the company seems to care that much about killing people. And if you do need to keep them alive, why are they not permanently drugged up....like say, they did to Syler? Oh look, the power's out? That's ok, because they're too sedated to break out. Disaster averted!

I know, I know, if the Company were even half-way competent we wouldn't have a show. This is the second season now driven by something the Company has left lying around they really should have got rid of (Virus, Adam, Formula).

And we're now up to six people who can see the future in some way.

Adam in actuality is not that dangerous a person. His only superpower is that he cant be killed. His power is not dangerous or really threatening. I wonder why they didnt put Sylar there though?? I mean his telekinesis is more dangerous than the absorb peoples fears and turn it into his strength thing that that one guy has. Sylar could defeat and kill alot of them. Like the fire guy, the magnetic guy, and the guy who takes peoples fears to strengthen himself..........Only the sound guy would be hard to defeat because Sylar has Super Hearing, so sound can be used against him.

And for the whole Time stop thing, I guess Hiro doesnt have full control of his power to stop it completely. I HATE when timestopped people all of a suddenly start talking and move their eyes. Like Sylar did also.

But it doesnt make sense. That speedsters brain would have to be able to think and process faster than she runs, if she can hold a conversation and talk with Hiro after hes slowed time. THink about it........Shes running superfast so her brain has to be fast enough to dodge out the way of stuff and everything. But, if somone superslowed time when you were running superfast, so that your barely moving, your brain would have all of a suddenly think superfast enough, to notice that you were timestopped. And if you were running superfast, and were timestopped and not moving, you would have to superincrease your speed to move around at normal speed.......................................Kinda confusing

Nathan: Killed by the least likely suspect, and is brought back by an even less likely suspect. Now he's all about being an angel. Creepy, but in a good way.

Future Peter: Here we learn that time travel can't solve all of our problems. Well, maybe it can, but not without creating all new (worse?) problems. Advice to Future Peter: leave the time travel to Hiro.

Hiro: His destiny--Don't open the safe. But of course, his father knew he would anyway. I thought that was funny. Probably the same formula Mohinder found? Then gets captured! I hope he's safe. So, Mrs. Petrelli had one half, and Mr. Nakamura had the other. She's trying to get both halves. Something tells me this can't be good.

What's-her-name Fast Girl: Awesome. Hiro is going to have to learn to completely stop time. He can't do anything if he just slows it down a lot. I thought it was obvious from Season 1 that really he just slows down time a lot. When Future Hiro stopped time on the train, the lights all went dim. Her brain would probably have to think fast so she doesn't run into people while moving so fast. And now she has the formula. We'll probably see her again.

Mrs. Petrelli: So, her power is dreams, huh? And are we supposed to forget the whole (suggested) mind-manipulation thing from last season, and accept that you are Sylar's mother? Yeah, right. Then again, it would explain why in Season 1 they were given orders to keep him alive.

Sylar: Good stuff. Now he can't die. How are they going to get out of this one?? Scary how Mrs. Petrelli is treating him. Letting him kill.

Clair: Uh-Oh. She can't feel pain anymore? This can't be good. Something Sylar did? On accident or on purpose? Or is it her powers reacting to the pain she has been in? Sylar said she is different than the others. Sylar couldn't kill her even if he wanted to. "Different" huh? And someone Sylar doesn't want to kill, huh?

Ms. Pyro: She must have had training from Doctor Invisible. Do you really need to turn Claire evil to make her into a good fighter?

Present Peter: I wonder if he will absorb Future Peter's powers?

Villains: Wiped out pretty easy. But then they said there were supposed to be a dozen of them, so there should still others we don't know.

Matt: ROTFL @ turtle. And now he's going to paint the future? This should be interesting.

Mohinder: Oops. Falls for the classic optimistic scientist blunder. Using un-tested drugs. So first he's Spider-man, then he has scales/spikes. Run Maya!! No, Faster!! Uhm, your clothes kinda... you might want to... uhm... Run!!

Nikki: 1st impression: What the heck? How'd she survive? 2nd impression: Oh, she has freezing powers now. Maybe she really is a different person...? 3rd impression: Yup, different person. And now there could be a dozen of them!! No wonder Nikki had Multiple Personality Disorder.

Linderman: He was the last person I thought would be coming back. So, apparently he healed Nathan, but Nathan is the only one that can see him. And Linderman still is working to get Nathan to be President, apparently. Odd.

Anyway, this is great! Delivering what they promise this time! Fast-paced action right from the get-go! This promises to be as good as season 1. Time will tell.

One of my favorite lines, in a sadistic way:
Claire: "Are you going to eat my brain?"
Sylar: "Claire, that is disgusting."

But I am finding Sylar a lot more interesting, especially after last episode. I always thought he was just someone who is "greedy" and craved the power; but now they are making his "quest for power," like a hunger. It is similar to someone who loves chocolate and is stuck in a room full of chocolate.

Anyways, I still see him as a villain; but at least he has more of an interesting role now, then just showing up and killing whoever he meets.

Peter's mother is also becoming extremely scarey and it could make sense that Sylar is really her son, after all Peter and Sylar basically have the same power.

I'm not watching, but I am reading the Television Without Pity recaps (beware the recaps are VERY addictive, especially if you watch any reality/competition show)

here's my favorite part of the season so far:
Claire is watching an extended version of the news report on the shooting from earlier, She makes a decision, and, presumably a short time later, she's tossing the last of some stuff into a bag and striding purposefully toward her bedroom door. However, when she opens it, she runs smack into Sylar OH MY GOD AWESOME. Actually, it's not only awesome but also hilarious, because he's just leaning against the jamb, like "I would have just hung out for six more hours if that's what it took for this moment, because one of my less-known powers is my ability to be the biggest drama queen on the planet."
and to answer an old upthread question, Adam was clearly never once a real prisoner, nor an enemy of the company. There's some elaborate shenanigans going on with him and mama and it will be interesting to see it all played out. Much like the omnipresent deception of 'one of us, one of them' that implies to anyone bennett says it to that he doesn't have powers. It's as vague as Obi Wan Kenobi's 'certain point of view' nonsense, but I'm interested to find out just how far reaching bennetts abilities are... more powerful than Peter's? I'm not sure, but he's probably the most powerful, since he's not afraid to operate with the haitian and it was he who was entrusted with Claire, the one who is different, remember.
So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.

Not last I knew, but banking on the fact that the writers are lazy, it's only a matter of time. It'd be a shame, he's the only one who makes any sense and acts intelligently - he doesn't need to be made more interesting.
