Simplified Chinese is horrendous. sorry, if there are fans of simplified here, but it's the honest truth. There are character that look EXACTLY the same. The only reason I had to learn it was because that was what they were teaching at school, and only 2 of my friends could read traditional. i would never have written a simplified word if i had to. simplified just takes all the beauty from the characters. it's ugly and disgusting.Simplified has always struck me as being kinda like chatspeak. Easier and faster, but rather pointless if you're already fluent in traditional.
just compare

If I were to get a tattoo, I'd get the left one.

Heh I'd love to get one, but it would have to be a crazy significant one... or in a situation like this:

It is not the sound of victory;
it is not the sound of defeat;
it is the sound of singing that I hear.

Thanks alot starlooker, i've been trying to register for months but i could never log in.
On the topic at hand, i would love to get an EG related tattoo but i havent a clue on what it should be. I was thinking the word "Aiua" in a classic looking font style on my chest a few inches below where the collar bones meet.
Suggestions welcome.

I just mentioned it (mostly for those who don't know) because a tattoo, while healing, can be ruined if a scab is pulled off prematurely (it can actually yank out the ink). One of the girls who works with me has a tattoo on her arm that was damaged when she got burned on a frying pan. Not a lot of damage, but some of the ink was lost. It would suck if you had to get it fixed and it didn't look right.
Step one, take off your shirt. Step two ... Step three, PROFIT!

I have a Speaker tattoo, from the book:
You can see on the "e" in "es" on my left foot that like previously mentioned, when the scabs come off (be it from work or... you know. Whatever.), the ink fades or will have white spots in it.

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep
But I have promises to keep
And miles to go before I sleep
Miles to go before I sleep
But I have promises to keep
And miles to go before I sleep

Novinha lashes out at him, calling him a desolation, etc. He answers her calmly, informally, even intimately, telling her (basically) "Thou art fertile soil, and I will plant a garden there."
I loved the passage from the book, and it was something that reminds me of my boyfriend (a long time best friend). For a birthday present his uncle bought it for me. Hurt like hell, but it was totally worth it.
