Simplified has always struck me as being kinda like chatspeak. Easier and faster, but rather pointless if you're already fluent in traditional.

Simplified Chinese is horrendous. sorry, if there are fans of simplified here, but it's the honest truth. There are character that look EXACTLY the same. The only reason I had to learn it was because that was what they were teaching at school, and only 2 of my friends could read traditional. i would never have written a simplified word if i had to. simplified just takes all the beauty from the characters. it's ugly and disgusting.

just compare

If I were to get a tattoo, I'd get the left one.

If I were ever decisive enough to get a tattoo, I'd probably get one I understand.

I got a tattoo when I was 19... wow that was 4 years ago now.
It looks like this patch and I have it on my right inner thigh hip joint area.
its the size of a 50 cent piece.

I like it because I can hide it really easily even in a bathing suit.

Heh I'd love to get one, but it would have to be a crazy significant one... or in a situation like this:

it is not the sound of defeat;
it is the sound of singing that I hear.

Welcome aboard, Xenofreak. Limeaid will arrive shortly.

There's another life out there...

Thanks alot starlooker, i've been trying to register for months but i could never log in.
On the topic at hand, i would love to get an EG related tattoo but i havent a clue on what it should be. I was thinking the word "Aiua" in a classic looking font style on my chest a few inches below where the collar bones meet.
Suggestions welcome.

Have you been putting lotion or A&D ointment on that? It might help with the scabbing. Hell, mine didn't scab at all, but it's pretty small.

I just mentioned it (mostly for those who don't know) because a tattoo, while healing, can be ruined if a scab is pulled off prematurely (it can actually yank out the ink). One of the girls who works with me has a tattoo on her arm that was damaged when she got burned on a frying pan. Not a lot of damage, but some of the ink was lost. It would suck if you had to get it fixed and it didn't look right.

I have a Speaker tattoo, from the book: Image

You can see on the "e" in "es" on my left foot that like previously mentioned, when the scabs come off (be it from work or... you know. Whatever.), the ink fades or will have white spots in it.

Trying to place this... I assume this is something Novinha said while she was ignoring Andrew while in the Filhos or something?

Novinha lashes out at him, calling him a desolation, etc. He answers her calmly, informally, even intimately, telling her (basically) "Thou art fertile soil, and I will plant a garden there."

I loved the passage from the book, and it was something that reminds me of my boyfriend (a long time best friend). For a birthday present his uncle bought it for me. Hurt like hell, but it was totally worth it.
