CezeN, I'm going to make a wild claim here and say that every thread you've made that was closer to being serious/important than it was to being fluff (college, prom, book suggestions, etc.) has not been ignored and has even had a respectable number or responses. Please, please, please drop some links in to prove me wrong.

Otherwise, going with "things I think a lot of people should have different perspectives on" is a very broad, very bad way to start classifying what is important. Besides, something being important to someone doesn't make it universally accepted as being important; my important is so much fluff to the majority of people I know.

Where the battle thread is concerned, you'll note I responded where I could in the beginning and left the conversation when I realized I was in over my head. For the latest one, those different scenarios didn't lead me to believe anything changed enough to alter the outcome; Bean, according to the Shadow series -which I grudgingly hold as cannon- is the better strategist and is supposedly smarter than Ender. I think Jason said that or something so similar I saw no point in trying to argue. The people you're pitting against each other, as near as I've been able to tell, have been lopsided in abilities. Just because two characters are popular to you big bunch of geeks or are often pitted against each other doesn't make it a smart or good match. I'm not claiming this is genius, it's probably just as lopsided when you start to look closer but because the characters interest me and the worlds interest me, I'd have a jolly ol' time looking at, say, some from Harry Potter vs someone from SW. Magic vs the Force. Does that mean a lot of different people, who might conceivably have opinions, are going to weigh in if I ask them how they think the mechanics of it all would work out? Probably not.

Now, I say this with the knowledge that I'm a hypocrite (no, doesn't make it any better) and with the knowledge that you are young and are in fact doing exactly what I'm about to say but, grow up. :) Be willing to try or don't. Let us see what you've got to share, or don't. Make a thread like Kelly mentioned, to test things out, so you don't have any more excuses...or don't.

I have so much respect for people like Ali, who can suck it up and at least try. Effort goes so very, very far with me.

P.S. Syphon, if you haven't broken 1000 by now, I hate you for the next 10 minutes. :P

Luke Skywalker vs. Harry Potter, or simply jedi vs. wizards is a good idea for a match up!

But I like being young!

Also, I honestly don't think the Bean vs Ender thing is as simple as that.

Last, the third factor in the whole thing is that I'm really too lazy to make new threads, unless I think it's super brilliant and would be worth it.

Amen to this.

Dude. I recently made the Car Talk thread. It sunk like a rock. Still here, still posting, still surviving, didn't kill me, didn't turn me into the Pweb Leper. Not the end of the world to have a thread that doesn't stay on the first page that long or that only gets a few responses. You move on.

(And, actually, making the thread did get me some very helpful advice, thanks to Cam, and I didn't get swindled into having my master cylinder replaced. So, bonus.)

I've been lurkery because I've been very very busy/productive. Soon I will have all my ducks in a row, though!

I started doing it again!!! Sorry :( I've been working and wedding planning. Wedding planning is sucky and not like it is in the movies.

If it mollifies you in the slightest, I started a blog.

You are a strange, strange person but I approve of all this recent activity. Image How's life? How're things? Inquiring minds are dying to know...even though FB gives a pretty good idea. Go forth on Pweb and spread your strangeness like seeds on the wind.

Unfortunately I am too lazy to read the first post. What I have gathered by the last page is that lurkers are people like me. Reading posts and making our own posts rarely. The reason I don't post is because if I do not have a strong opinion about something with evidence to back it up (at least in my mind maybe not written) then I just read what you guys have to say. Plus I seem to go against the views of this community a lot and arguments (not talking about intelligent debates) are quite useless and annoying.

My name is paul, and i am a lurker...

I don't know, ive just never really figured out how to connect with people here. Most of my post have been one liners or fluff because it seems like every time I type something longer than a paragraph or two, the thread dies shortly after....

recent examples:

To be fair, those aren't Milagre threads. No one gets paid much attention outside of Milagre.

If it makes you feel any better, I am pretty happy whenever I see that you've posted.

Hi Zero!

Another hard part i have with pweb are the 30 page threads. Many of them go back years and years. So lets say that I wanted to take part in the "Dear Bob" thread. Do I have to read the whole damn thing? Is it ok to only read the first and last, but skip the middle?

And although i have been a poster here at pweb for almost as long as its been around. A couple weeks ago I was lurking through the "random things that remind you of pweb or someone here" thread. I thought wow, there is a road named Little Triangle something in Kansas City that totally reminds me of the poster with the same name (last pweb version maybe?). Then lo and behold, I see my little lightsaber guy. Apparently I posted in that thread almost 5 years ago.

Apparently relationships have started here? Many of you guys now know each other in real life? How the heck is someone suppose to keep up?

Edit: ok, nm, Bob has closer to a hundred pages.
