I'm alone on Thanksgiving in Gainesville and I'm working a 10-hour shift at Cracker Barrel on Thanksgiving Day. I'm lonely. Thanksgiving isn't a lonely day. :(
I think that you forgot the phrase "supposed to be" in your last sentence...
