No, I'm not here to plug some god-awful drawings I made. I don't draw because I can't do it, and even if I did, I'd probably not put them up on the internet. I actually have a question one of you more tech-savvy members might be able to help me with.

For some reason, the DA website just will not work. Ever. My internet access right now is solely at work; the work computers perform just fine and almost every other website I visit has no problems being displayed in IE. With the exception of the website for the bank I use (meaning I can't do any banking online for some reason), the only website that won't work is DeviantArt. Like I said, I don't do any drawing myself, but quite a few of my online friends do and have pages on DA, which I've never been able to access.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

Describe "will not work".

Is it possible your workplace is banning that site? Either by firewall rules or transparent proxy, it's easy enough, but I don't know your workplace... would they do something like that?

No, it's nothing like that. Much more workplace unfriendly sites still work. I mean, "will not work" as in, the page won't load at all. In the rare event that I see a page, it's all badly formatted with no images, unformatted links and no text. Just some blank boxes and basic blue links.

That sounds to me like one of the banner ads being blocked by a "stupid" filter and IE hanging up waiting for the blocked server to respond.

You could try getting to it through a site like megaproxy
Or you could try using Firefox or Opera to render it instead.

Awesome. Thanks. I was going to just get FF since it's my preferred browser at home, but I can't really download anything at work. I looked for free proxy sites, and after a few initial failures, 9i7.cn made it work for me.

Thanks, Dap.
