The NFL Draft

Most of you wishy-washy hippies, wheezy nerds and Canadians probably don't care, but the NFL Draft is coming up this weekend and those who follow the greatest sport ever created are feeling the buzz.

My Packers seem to be on track to draft Marshawn Lynch out of Cal, joining fellow Golden Bear Aaron Rodgers, after being medically cleared of a possible congenital back disorder that might have lowered his Draft-day appeal. However, the Packers desperately need a running back after the departure of Ahman Green, who toiled in relative misery over the last few years. But with a young and improving corps of lineman, Brett Favre in his last hurrah and an ever-tightening defense, perhaps the addition of the elusive California back will give hope to Cheesehead faithful this year.

Perhaps some might be interested in a little PWeb Fantasy Football action this year. Any possible takers?

I'd be down for FF action

Good draft for my Pats this year, and by draft i mean trades lol They got their safety, still get another first next year and acquired my old fav player, Randy Moss. As long as Brady or Maroney dont get hurt, we should have a heck of a season.

Too bad about lynch, i'd rather he be in GB than buffalo. Who did they end up taking?

DT Justin Harrell out of Tennessee. At first I was kind of dissapointed, but Ted Thompson has been focusing on the defensive side of the ball pretty well with his management moves - he extended the contracts of DE's Aaron Kampman and Cullen Jenkins, cornerback Al Harris and linebacker Nick Barnett. He drafted three starters: linebackers A.J. Hawk and Brady Poppinga and safety Nick Collins. He got three starters from free agency: Charles Woodson, Ryan Pickett and Marquand Manuel. Now with the addition of an immediate-impact player at DT from the draft, and Thompson's strategy seems a lot clearer. Now all we gotta do is pick up a playmaker on the offensive side of the ball. We've only really got Favre and Donald Driver since the departure of Ahman Green. We got a quality RB in the 2nd round, Nebraska HB Brandon Jackson, but I don't think it'll be enough, and times running out. I'm kind of jealous of Cleveland's draft - Joe Thomas out of Wisconsin and Brady Quinn WAY late in the 1st round.
