Eh, I would have to see what they actually looked like. Sounds cute though.

I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

YES.

Only if I were rich though. Generally dressing up to get married seems sort of against the point to me, but in this case a wedding would just be an excuse to dress like a Disney princess (husband? who? oh, right, that guy :stoned:).

Very, very no.

I have a policy that whatever I do in the future, I must be able to look back at my wedding photos without thinking "Good heavens, what was I thinking?!"

Anything I can imagine coming out of this dress line would eventually elicit that response.

I would be more worried if the "Good heavens, what was I thinking?!" came because of the marriage couple than because of the dress :D

Kind of.

However, if you are unhappy in your marriage and find yourself going, "Good heavens, what was I thinking?" you can answer yourself, "I thought I was in love. I was committed to him/her and had every reason to believe he/she was committed to me." etc.

However, "Good heavens, what was I thinking?" about a Disney dress, and you have to answer yourself, "I thought it would be cool to look like Belle/Ariel/Sleeping Beauty."

Guess which type of answer allows you to retain more dignity inside yourself?

What I've never been able to understand is why everyone always says or implies that they want their life (or at least their love life and/or wedding) to be a fairytale in the first place. I mean, outside of Disney films, have you ever read a fairytale? It would an awful lot for me to willingly choose to model my life after one.

Fairy tales seem to largely end with someone being gruesomely tortured, eaten, or killed in some other creative yet equally ghastly manner. If you luck out you might just freeze to death or turn into sea foam. If you're not so lucky... well, might not be wine you're drinking.

What, no prince costume for the groom?

Oh right, I forgot, the wedding is the bride's special day, she gets to be a princess.

I'll have to hold off judgement until I see an example. I can see how gowns shaped (but not necessarily colored) in cuts reminiscent of Belle or Cinderella's ballgowns could be appealing. Those styles already exist as wedding dresses, but without Princess branding. But if they look like the Hello Kitty Wedding Dress . . . yeah.

I thought they were cool, but I'm not sure I'd buy one. One, I'm already married, and two, for what they're probably charging, I wouldn't spend that much on a dress.
I do like the idea of dressing up like a princess. Not necessarily like a Disney princess, mind you, but dressing up like a princess on a wedding day does appeal to me. I didn't have a ceremony, and once in a while, that gets to me. Most of the time, however, I'm glad we eloped.

Why can't the guy get a costume though? I mean, if his bride's gonna dress up as Sleeping Beauty, the least they can do is have him go as Prince Charming.

Although, if I were gonna wear a Disney related outfit to my wedding, it would totally be Robin Hood's wedding garb in the final scene of the movie.

Nah, the cut of most of those dresses just don't compliment my womanly figure well enough.
The Makeout Hobo is real, and does indeed travel around the country in his van and make out with ladies... If you meet him, it is customary to greet him with a shot of whiskey and a high five (if you are a dude) or passionate makeouts (if you are a lady).

I want a Toy Story wedding. Bride and groom are Bo Peep and Woody. Best man is Buzz Lightyear and maid of honor can be tour guide Barbie.
