Yeah, my mom has zits too, but I'm going through puberty on top of those zits.

by starlooker
Exactly. Puberty sucks so much that zits are the least of your problems. A distraction, not a problem. Furthermore, the majority of people your age have the same damn problem. You're supposed to have to suffer in puberty. Every time I have a bad day, I stop and thank God that no matter what I ever have to do in my life, I will never have to be 13 again. Or 16 for that matter.

However, a person likes to think that once they've hit some semblance of adulthood, some of those problems go away. And for a lot of people, they do. So when they don't, it feels really unfair and annoying.

The fact that my e-mail is flooded with "new" types of spam, that Gmail, for some reason, won't recognize as spam and send to the spam folder.

Also: that my automatic spell-check won't recognize spam as a word. It's a type of meat, isn't it?

Speaking of spell-checkers, that my won't recognize 'prolly' even after I've added it to the list

Certain person in my life insisting on the 'spankings are good, not, good, *necessary* for healthy child-raising' view, and not being talkable out of it. I don't take much 'it *works*' for a reason to repeat it generation after generation, because that's just a very lazy way to get around the concept of 'something else may have worked even better and without the fear and trauma/whatever' without bothering to find alternatives. Geez people.

What gets to me yet more is the 'but it's been good for you TOO, right? It didn't do any harm in the long term, you're now healthy individual with straight morals.' Of course. How cool.

Twilight. Especially the fans.
And basically, things that are overhyped, yet have poor quality, for no reason.

I got spanked. I wasn't traumatized, and it was an effective disciplinary measure. My kids (when I have them) will most likely get spanked too.

Same here. I got spanked, and my sisters still do. I don't know if I like spankings or being grounded better.

I probably will spank my kids when I'm grown up also. Even tough, when I was younger, I resolved to be the nicest, bestest mommy in the whole world...

It's so easy to say that kind of crap when you don't have kids.

I just don't believe in it as a first-use all-fix method of education, and happen to disagree it should be promoted as the only one for possible use so many people around me make it to be.

[Bit off topic, I guess. If there's any more interest, I'll consider making a separate thread on this.]

That comment was directed at the people who support spanking, btw.

I hate when you get out of the pool and don't have the chance to get properly dried off, and you have to walk around the rest of the day or until you can change, wet and smelling like chlorine.

Eskarina: You can go ahead if you want to. Unless of course it is already a thread. I can just see it now: Zits, Puberty, and the Purpose of Spankings.

Thanks, Jayelle.

Now to the regularly scheduled programming- I hate the overuse of 'hate' word for things that are merely strongly disliked or disagreed with.

I hate having bad dreams.
In the one that sticks out from last night, two men had broken into my house, through a backyard entrance point, and everyone but me was able to get out the front door. I did manage to get out through my bedroom window eventually but I was scared s***** trying. Then I was the only one who had a phone so I called 911. The operator wanted a description of the men but all I could say was that they were at least 6' tall and either black or dark skinned Hispanic. Operator told me to get closer if I could, to look for distinguishing marks. I was able to spot a giant tattoo on one before I was noticed by them. When I tried to run, a gun was pulled, I was shot in the back, thrown from the back yard to the front yard, where I died and the POV switched to floating beside my family as they looked at my dead body.

Sometimes i hate my sister, and just want her to disappear. Like today for example, all she did was whine, grump, stomp, and bug me and my mom. Sometimes I think she is the biggest damn b**** in the history of the world, and I don't give a s*** what she thinks. Sometimes I hate her damn guts more than anything in the whole f****** world.

Then other times, I love her like, well, a sister...

My f****** rent check just bounced because apparently my bank still hasn't cleared the check for my roommate's half that I deposited DAYS ago. Not only is my landlord f****** LIVID, but now I also have to pay a f****** overdraft fee. NOT THAT THE BANK PAID OUT THE CHECK OR ANYTHING. I cannot handle this right now.

I know what you mean. I'm like a ninja. I move quietly without meaning to. To avoid startling people I will sometimes deliberately make some noise as I approach.

You guys won't believe me, but I'm pretty quiet too. My friends and I were at a party and were being spies just for the heck of it. I have to say, we were pretty damn good at it. At one point, someone walked by and was like "Where did those girls go?" and we were plastered to the wall and lying on the floor.

I barefoot/moccasin-around so I'm pretty good at the whole balls thing :) People need to learn not to walk like cows.

I hate...not having dreams.
Though, I obviously do(something I read said we always have dreams when we sleep or something like that), I never remember them.
Not even a hint. It just seems like I close my eyes, then I wake up.

I'm at the point, where I'd even welcome nightmares.

That "Deal or No Deal" and "1 vs 100" are video games. They're stupid enough premises for game shows as it is, but I cannot see how people would want to play them as video games. (Okay, 1v100 can actually win you stuff, but gah; it's just so dull and pointless)

Psh, hate makes for more interesting posts; we all appreciate it.
