So, uh, I hate Thanksgiving. Or any day that gives my family the desire to gather under one roof. Without fail, there is always one fight (verbal or physical) on any given holiday and it's not fun.

I hate when my grandma picks on me and then tells me it's okay because 1) she's the matriarch of the family, 2) she's old and 3) her mom did it to her.

I hate that my mom tells me to lose the tone when I start defending myself, to stop giving the cold shoulder when I try to ignore it, or to stop hiding when I leave the room to avoid it.

Oh, yeah, I hate turkey and ham.

-Circular thinking patterns
-Contradictory thinking patterns
-Trying to read minds
-People being unable to read my mind (actually, I also love this...see above RE: contradictions)
-Having to ask people things instead of them volunteering the information
-Wanting to ask people things and then chickening out
-Being asked the wrong questions
-Not being asked the right ones
-That if I were asked the right questions, I'd reveal more than I think I should
-Saying the wrong thing
-Feeling completely transparent, from both the things I say and the things I refuse to say
-Feeling completely misunderstood
-Having absolutely no one, not even Bob, to talk to about certain things

Losing at cribbage. Particularly getting skunked at cribbage.

I hate this a lot.

Finals. Or at least, this finals schedule.

Seriously, what the hell? Back to back to back to back cumulative exams is not ok. Something has to give. I can only juggle so many things at once. Why not lengthen finals and put a day between each exam? We'd still be out super early, and the first years wouldn't all want to kill themselves, each other, or the professors.

We have some kind of policy that says you can't have more than two in a 24-hour period (effectively means no more than two in a row). There's not some kind of limit there?

I hate Thursdays and Fridays, because I study until 7 PM on Thursday (stupid Robotics class...though we do get many free hours the rest of the time, that I use to go to the pool), and get up for work at 5 AM in Friday. Stupid driving lessons that require money =(

Sadly, no. At least, not that I'm aware of. My undergrad had a similar policy... but, here, the powers that be arranged these in the way that best suited them. I mean, it's not like they're trying to coordinate a giant group of people... They're trying to coordinate 128 people who are all taking the same classes. It can't possibly be that hard to spread it out some.

Kim, I understand you whole-heartedly. There are only 91 MBA students in my school, and yet somehow we are given a case competition Wednesday at 5pm, have two finals lasting until 5pm Thursday, and were expected to present today at 8am. Gahh!!

But it's OVER!!! Winter break!!! WOOOO!!!

Users who put in a request for technical assistance at 4:15 pm on a Friday afternoon and then call at 4:30 asking why no one has come to fix it yet.

I swear, our world does not revolve around one user's problems.
Yeah I got a response............er..WHAT?

No. You're saying it to be clever or ironic or whatever, but it's wrong. It's eugenics and it's.. I hate to invoke internet rule #453... NAZI! Restrictions on breeding are practically genocide.

Well, I have never said it myself, but my understanding as to why some people feel that way isn't so much that people really *should* be required to have a license to have kids but more that the government requires people to get a license to have much lesser creatures (like lizards, in some states and in Australia). To me it's a bit like how hypocritical it is to make marijuana illegal but allow people to kill themselves with alcohol and tobacco. It feels like double standards. Or maybe that's entirely different...I don't know. :?

Funny. I heard that tonight and was disgusted. I also heard people making fun of a transgendered person and was likewise disgusted.

I always hated that most hiccup cures seemed designed more to provide amusement for those watching and suggesting the cures than actually curing hiccups.

If I could "just do it" then why are you here trying to teach me how?

oooh that's a big one for me. my dad teaching me anything, like how to drive, explains things like that.

Such as learning how to drive stick, "so you let the clutch all the way out then give it gas and you just do it." much yelling and most of an hour later I finally work out of him that you're supposed to give it gas while you're letting the clutch out, not after letting the clutch out all the way as he'd been telling me. But yeah, I heard that phrase a lot.

*That my parents trust me so little right now (they think I'm depressed to the point of being suicidal or something), they asked my brother and his wife to come babysit me while my mom is in Phoenix.

*That their idea of watching me is to drop their children off with me and leave.

*That some people don't understand being alone isn't something to be pitied or feared. Especially when I was only alone long enough to go fill out an application and come back. And after the last week, I want to be alone...or at least not surrounded by my family.

Another thing people say that makes me crazy is throwing around the words "Child Abuse" like they mean nothing. Ex: "Letting your kids watch TV before they're 2 is bordering on child abuse."
No, it's really not. Locking your child in a basement with nothing but a TV and no food is bordering on child abuse. See the difference?

This. Or just "something undesirable".
I always hated that most hiccup cures seemed designed more to provide amusement for those watching and suggesting the cures than actually curing hiccups.
I'm squinting at this trying to see if it's a C&H reference. It's kind of close to quoting it, but kinda not.

Edit: I hate feeling like I can't say something here because people won't like it. So, f*** that noise. Just one word: "kawaii"; okay, I'm done, and won't mention it again.

Pfft. Stop being a panzy! If I worried about not saying things people wouldn't like more... hell, I'd probably have friends and people might actually like me!

Okay, on third thought, saying things people don't want to hear probably isn't for everyone.

Pfft. Stop being a panzy!
(First, need to get this out of the way: this made me think of some kind of cross between "pansy" and "panzer". heh)

And no, and I respectfully disagree with this line of thinking. If I voice distaste about certain things, people would alter their behavior in certain ways in response. And I don't want them to. I've tried telling people that me saying I hate something isn't the same as me saying "stop doing that", but people don't believe me, people are stupid, etc etc. So I just don't.

working f****** freelance

If I weren't I would get paid for holidays, like thanksgiving thursday and friday and could take other vacation days off as paid vacation.

as it is, vacation, stay at home sick, holidays. I don't get any paid leave at all.

I sort of hope I get sick so I can come in anyway and infect everyone. mwahaha. except I'm not even close to that mean. sigh.
