For me, it makes driving more interesting. The only time it's annoying is if I'm in traffic which is very rare where I live.

I learned how to drive on a stick and only drove stick for about the first two years. The car I have now is an automatic and while it's nice for driving in places like Seattle, I miss my stick : (

I feel more safe with a stick, just habit I guess but it does take a lot of strain off the braking system to shift down while stopping.

I mostly miss my stick right when I sit in an automatic. I never know what to do with my left foot.

I never understood why people like driving a manual more than driving an automatic. It's so much easier- no need for that annoying clutch.

I once talked to someone who was used to driving stick and was driving an automatic once. They said their left foot kept hitting the clutch on the left. Except, it wasn't quite a clutch...

I love that Monkey snuggles on my lap when it gets cooler in the house (she doesn't all summer). And I love that Yoyo snuggles on my chest all the time.

That cat goes insane whenever I wear anything fuzzy or fleecy. The Snuggie has the power to send him into a state of total feline bliss. A sort of Catopia. I have never known a cat who takes such delight in kneading as he does. At the end of it, he rolls over with his big expanse of tummy and his giant paws pointed up purring calmly and, I swear, looking like he's grinning. It's the picture of delighted relaxation. It's kind of hilarious.

I love putting my bathrobe on backwards and pretending it's a Snuggie.

Of course, to pay for my insolence, the collar chokes me, but I'm willing to deal with it.

That I just saw Carbon Leaf in concert. And discovered another awesome band in the process: Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers. When was the last time you listened to a rock group that busted out a tuba solo?

You are the only other person on the internet I've met that has heard of Carbon Leaf. I tip my hat to you, sir.

My on-site supervisor got me a copy of Coraline. I forgot it at work but it's mine to bring home and watch.
