Awww buckshot. That was very sweet

I am amazed at how much I love my son. I really have never loved someone as much as I love him.

I applied to be a book reviewer for a nationally used library journal a few weeks ago. I just got my acceptance letter. FREE books. Months ahead of their release. AAAAAHHHHHH.

First, I do not have your address. In fact, the only Pwebber whose address I now have is zero's. :P Okay, I possibly have Shannon's in a text but she also could have moved since I asked for that.

Second, unless you're interested in his YA, I probably won't get any of his books. I can't even remember what all it was I asked to do but I'm pretty sure it was juv/YA graphic novels and YA fiction. Maybe middle school fiction as well.

While deer hunting today I crossed some big elk sign and was able to creep up to close to a big regal looking 5pt+ bull elk. Close ,no less than 20 yards, I backed away and he never winded or heard me. In almost a week I'm going after him ,I hope he stays around. I can't handle walking straight legged anymore and dealing with these swollen painfull knees, I called the bone cutter that agrees to replace em both, he called us after dinner and was talking with Julie n me and I guess it's gonna happen fairly soon. It sounds scarry and there are more risks with super big people but i'm ready. Its way past time I should of had it done 2 years ago.

Buckshot, I don't personally hunt, but my husband and his father do. The have been teaching me to shoot since before we got married and in actually a pretty good shot. I really enjoy going and shooting paper with them. I haven't been in over a year because of being pregnant and all.
I did go on a hunt with chris and his dad a few years back but didn't carry a gun. Just a hike in the woods for me until in ready.
This year my father in law and 2 friends went to Montana on a hunt. They ended up getting 5 deer and 2 elk. We paid to process one of the does so we have a freezer full of good meat (a little mule deer from Chris' Utah hunt last year, antelope, elk, and I believe a white tail from Montana).
The hardest thing for me is figuring out how to cook it. I grew up in a non hunting no guns family and don't know what to do with game meat. I'm slowly figuring out what I can substitute it into.

Next year Chris gets to go out with his dad to Montana, he had to take the year off because of the baby and work things. They did go on a short day hunt here on Oregon but it was to warm and they didn't see anything.

In closing. I love hunting because of the bonding it gives my husband and father in law, and the food it provides for our family. I also love shooting because it helped me bond with my father in law.

Thanks for sharing that Thoughtreader, hunting is a big part of my familys heritage too, I went whitetail hunting with Maddie yesterday after school yesterday, today too I hope ( I hear were going to have some 60 mi winds today) cuz we hav a few inches of snow this morning, and I love hunting in the snow. Julie has never been big on cooking venison unless its ground like in chilli or sauce but we sneak it into lots of stuff regardless. I make lots of german sausage and tons of jerky and all the kids n grandkids love it. Were lucky to have lots of pork and beef on hand after butchering to mix it with and that makes killer german links. I still love elk and moose steak in a skillet with onions n shrooms bubbling in some beer for a couple hours better than everything. Except pie maybe

Well nothing can beat pie ;)

I have to say the ground is easiest to use. We just used up the last of our 1/3 of a cow we purchased from my husband's coworker. Good grass fed natural beef. I miss it the store bough stuff pales in comparison. So I don't have much of a choice but to figure it out. The elk is also my favorite. That and the sage fed mule deer from Utah.

I've been listening through on YouTube. I'm trying to find someone local to love it with me. It's kind of like when I was alone in my RENT love back in 1997.

I'm loving that I'm healing up so fast that I've already set up for the left knee Aug 3. I'm also cleared for the road and the air, I'm still got a little shimmy on if I walk too much but I get around good with my walking stick. Beware I'm loaded for bear and I'm out n about!

Something I'm starting to love is the Discord chat app. Wayyyyyyy better than Skype (not a high bar to reach, admittedly), but pretty well made and the chat bots are better than anything Skype ever had.

Thing I love: getting back a test with a great score. Especially when I wasn't so confident of the result. WEW.

AND getting a great schedule for the summer term. Sooo relieved I didn't get saddled with some boring useless courses to fill up time.

Our daughter Molly is due to have a baby boy in october (deer season) so I'm stoked. last evening My boy Jake's chocolate lab Koda had 10 pups! Julie n I picked out a chocolate baby girl for me! Her name is Remmington "Remmi", she is so cute! and noisy! The Momma "Koda " is such a great dog I love her to death and kidnap her often to go on adventures. Jake hopes to get his dog back after I get to take Remmi home, It's gonna be a long 9 weeks. She is so teenie , just fits in one hand, She kinda sounds like a little piggy.

Baby puppies and a baby human! Lucky you!

Chocolate labs may make the cutest puppies known to man. All puppies are adorable, but chocolates are a whole other level.

I don't love golf, but I do love spending time with family in ways that aren't too stressful.
Played 18 holes with my dad. I haven't golfed in years and never did much when I did, but he loves it and it seemed important to go out there this time.
