That Pandora radio thing.

I'm probably really late, but I just discovered it: And 9/10 of the songs it picked for me were like angels singing in my ear.

Like, I have so many new songs I need to put on my MP3.

Phone calls. Much as I live off IMing, I need voices every so often. Today, I got an hour talking to Nicole and two hours talking to my little brother. Even better, they both called me, since I suck so badly at calling other people.

Out of Gas. Oh, God.

Oh man.

My eyes are always at least a little moist by the end of it, even, apparently, with the commentary on.

Moffat/Gattis Sherlock Holmes.
:D:D:D

We just watched the first, this evening, A Study in Pink!

I'm... kind of in love with both Holmes and Watson... More than before, I mean.

Moffat/Gattis Sherlock Holmes.
Confession: I was about to ask if someone were possibly related, but I checked Facebook and it's spelled different so I'm guessing no.

Sherlock is fantastic, but apparently is only going to be those four episodes (ending on a cliffhanger!!) until next year.

And what a cliffhanger it was. If you haven't already seen the last episode of Sherlock, then wait until the next series is about to start to save yourself the agony.

Straightening up/organizing my desk. Unfortunately, I get no credit from anyone else for it, but it tends to give me a motivational boost.

Sometimes.... I just love raocow. I don't know why it triggers on certain days, but sometimes I just get suddenly overwhelmed by how much I enjoy his existence. It makes me cry and makes it difficult to not do much else.

And I almost stopped watching him due to his over-the-top "you got a heart" vocalizations when I first starting following him! It's crazy.

The fact that today was the first day for my new staff.

The fact that I'm pretty sure I recruited some really good people.

The fact that, despite feeling low-level sick for the past two days and sleeping in this morning, today I have finished a book, done the front yard for the first time in a month, and made my start-over meal (whenever I start to eat too poorly, I go back to this as a sort of pallet cleanser, if that makes any sense) to stop myself from indulging in junk like I have been. I'm feeling pretty good about today. :)

Elton John and Miss Piggy together singing "Don't Go Breaking My Heart."

So apparently Winners (a Canadian Chain, apparently kinda like TJ Maxx?) really wants us to go steampunk for our apartment. They had tons of stuff that looked oldish/victorian that we could totally make even better.
Unfortunately - they all cost $$! So, we bought a fantastic leather trunk that was on sale and drooled over everything else, including this cool little nautical control thingy.

Irising apertures are one of my favorite devices ever, and is probably one of my main draws to steampunk. Sweet link, dude.

You could use a universal iris clamp used for brass lenses with no aperture for an iris for a small desk lamp

And, this is what you get for making plans.

Fiance just lost his job.

Well, s***.

Meh. It's not that bad. Both of us HATED that job, anyways. Hopefully he'll be able to get unemployment for a while, and then find something better. The bulk of the money we need for the wedding is already saved. And, honestly, I'm pretty much the breadwinner, anyhow. But I really need to get my work performance to improve by a great deal to make sure this does not turn into a calamity.
