I see! Breed your cat for me? It took a while to get mine used to the idea of a litter box. Finally got her, though! Although she still doesn't exactly understand it, still.

I love my new co-workers. Especially Ms. S. She's the YA librarian and she is actually tech savey. Hooray! She knows internety stuff and is a big Whedon fan and and Ender fan.
I have found a kindered spirit. I am SO VERY happy not to be the "tech person" anymore. My co-workers actually know how computers work.

Though, I can't get away with as much anymore.

DSM-V.

So, so, so, so, so ridiculously much.

Oh my gosh.

I want to start using it now.

I have a client that I have never been able to put into words. Never. Could not figure out a diagnosis that seemed to catch her to save my life; everything seemed like a poor approximation. And now? FOUND IT. Exactly. Exactly. I feel SO validated. And like I have a new, productive direction to work from. The personality disorder descriptions have a similar effect on me. It's actually USEFUL for how I think about my work, even when PD is not a diagnosis.

LOVE. LOVE.

There are some flaws, yes, and I have no idea how the PD changes are going to influence billing, but on the whole I am thrilled. I am so sick of DSM-IV. While it was a big improvement over what had come before, its limitations are becoming more and more apparent. I do not want to have to wait till 2013 to use DSM-V. This is going to be a huge shake-up of the entire mental health community, and is long, long overdue.

The two of my favorite XKCD's were posted recently. Jan's automatic door and bonito's "If you die in Canada, you die in real life!". Plus I'll be in Canada this weekend. In Tremblant for some sort of festival that my friends some how knew about. I don't believe that any of the Canadian Pwebbers live in that area right?

That moment, laying in bed, when all my thoughts are running around like crazy as I'm waiting to fall asleep, when something just kind of happens. There's just this little, "click!" moment. It's like when you unplug a laptop and the screen dims when it goes on battery power. I can just feel it, it's weird. It's the signal that, yes, I am going to fall asleep. And then the thoughts get more random and scattered, and then I'm out. It's reassuring, some nights when I am sure I will never sleep due to excess thoughts running around, to know that's the signal. And all will be well.

Since I've realized what the moment feels like, it seems like it's become easier for me to get to.

I may not have mentioned this before, but my roommate knows Epic Beard Man. She spent over 24 hours on a train ride with him, mostly because she was the only other passenger that would talk to him. I kept trying to get her to watch his famous video, finally she did and yelled out "Oh my God, this is the guy from the train I'm always trying to tell you about!"

His words are wise, his face is beard!

...oh wait, this is the guy on that bus. I'm apparently thinking of "Wise Beard Man" according to wikipedia. Eh, I think Wise Beard Man is cooler.

I absolutely love the Easter Triduum. Except for fasting. But even that I can't hate too much, as uncomfortable and unenjoyable as it is, as it's for a good cause.

Tunics. I'm really diggin the tunic love these days. Why did it take me so long to discover them?

Also, my job. The pay sucks, but it'll look good on my resume and frankly, I enjoy the day-to-day of it. There's something to be said for finding just the right clothing for the right person.

Also, the 80(?) year old lady I helped today. After 20 minutes of looking at every skirt and dress in the shop, finding one, not finding a top to go with, and her being about ready to leave... AH! I LOVE THAT! And she totally bought one of the recycled sari-silk wraps that I adore (they are also fairtrade and support cottage industry for Indian women). It was bright and funky and "young" and she was 80 years old.

Edit: Alex Trebek. And Jeopardy!

Hail! ZOMG!
The more I see "ZOMG!", the more it looks to me like a foreign name for an actual god (maybe a ruler or relative of the Power Rangers character Zordon). So seeing "Hail! ZOMG!", it looks more like a salute type thing than an exclamation of joy over there being hail.

(Do I sense some possible association with the Germans there? Maybe.)

What would ZOMG be the god of? It has to be pretty awesome, since his name is in all caps...
