I'd say the lack of response is a response of sorts. Oh well. It's not like Pweb turns 10 every year. ;)

Anyway. Things I love.

*(500) Days of Summer is in my room, mine to keep forever and ever.
*I have an idea for a very short comic-y thing, that has likely been done a million times over, but even so, I'll love it if I finish it.
*My coworkers. Two more than the others but holy moley, we talk about food (turns out two of us are always hungry, though she is pregnant and I'm just a pig), movies and shows we love (SATC, Love Actually, etc.), work stuff (we do well with bouncing ideas off each other), etc. I've never felt so comfortable with coworkers before. Like an equal. Fantastic.
*Pineapple. It's like I can't get enough, now that I know what I've been missing out on.
*That I got to wear a balloon hat today (water faucet).
*That a few of the soccer kids have very openly taken to me.

Alea, I love that you love pineapple! I think it's awesome and I don't know many people that feel the same.

I'm with Alea on this one. Pineapple might be my favorite fruit. If not, it is a close second to Kiwi.

I love kiwi! I love fruit in general, except melons. I've never ever found a melon that i've liked.

Am I too lovey lately?

I have been strongly encouraged by one of my supervisors to start wearing pajamas on the night I work, starting the 18th. Sweet baby Jesus, my job is great (most of the time...).

My little brother is visiting this weekend and on his way.

The text message conversation I had throughout the work day.

I absolutely love that a Jesuit friend of ours had an icon of the Russian royal family which he gave to us.

We're having a contest right now in the library that is "50 Ways to Love your Library" where kids write why they love the library and it's posted on the wall.

My favourite so far: "because the books are so edgucating."

Yes, that's how he spelled it.

Powell's is amazing! Like 6 shelves of Orson Scott Card. How could you go wrong?

And, on a side note, they have some pretty awesome v-neck shirts.

Mmm, yardwork. I planted some Lithodoras after the yard had its haircut; I LOVE lithodoras. I try to grow them all the time but I always kill them. Unfortunately, this doesn't stop me from trying time and time again.

Those are gorgeous. Something tells me that they wouldn't grow in my zone.

From what I've found just now, they're a 5-7 zone plant...which would explain the death in my 9/10 zone. Fudge.

Ooh, so maybe I could grow them! Did you buy them locally? If so, I wonder why the would sell a plant that doesn't grow in your zone?

It's a good thing you're moving to a 5/6 zone, then.

Hmm... I'd never heard of this whole plant zone thing. Turns out I live in a 3/4 zone. Good to know. If I ever grow plants, I guess I'll know.

Yup, I'm zone 5a. It's good to know your zone if you want to plant stuff, especially if you order anything online to plant.

Yes, I only ever get flowers to plant locally. I think they sell the plants to make money, of course, knowing full well they'll die in the different conditions (at the store, they're always shaded to a degree with misters going but not on them, keeping it cool enough to counter the heat without over-watering them) and that most people will not take them up on the "we will replace plants that die within a year" policy they have.

It's a good thing you're moving to a 5/6 zone, then.

I love changing the lyrics of songs to make them more relevant or at least funnier. Relevancy usually comes from changing the names used. Funniness comes from a variety of different things. But replacing 'eyes' with 'thighs' usually produces a giggle at the very least.

Gosh darn words failing to do justice here: Holy hyperventilating happiness, Batman!! I never thought I'd say this post-2001 but I love MTV! Daria has a release date. The WHOLE series for a meager $51.00. My Daria, finally on DVD.

All our games are on Saturdays and I work every Saturday, as a rule. This one was courtesy of weird holiday scheduling but I got today off and got to go to my first (and last) game. Some of the kids were sick, some were absent but we still won 4-3. It was a nail-biter and yes, they fell all over each other just like puppies (if anyone is annoyed with that phrase at this point, too bad, it makes me laugh). I loved this game. And my shirt. :D

I can complain about TV sometimes, but occasionally I am glad it's on in the apartment. Because I get to see gems like this every so often.

Edit: Haha, "Don't smell like sunsets and baby powder. Smell like jet fighters and punching."
