Yaaay! Goggies!

I love feeling appreciated. One of my students brought me a chocolate bar today to thank me for the extra sessions I'm running. :)

Yeah, them too but I get to talk to them as often as I want, so I'm less excited about that.

I like to honk Nom's squeaky giraffe at the doggies when I'm on webcam with family. Sometimes it's very funny watching them try to figure it out.

I love that none of my plants are dead yet! I really need to repot the nasturtium sprouts very soon, but thus far everything is still alive! I'm very pleased.

I am in bed with pen, paper, and stamped envelopes. When I need to shift gears, I have a book (or four) to turn to. Laundry is in the dryer, I've had two bowls of my favorite cereal because I'm a piggy that way, I slept in until 10 and am still in my 'jamas, I have the comfort of getting to see and cuddle and walk and love my babies in a month, if I'm lucky I'll get to fall asleep tonight to the sound of a thunderstorm, and if I find a good movie to watch, it will be Movie and Mac ('n cheese) night.

I love today. :)

Hey, that's sort of like Kraft-Croft night (Mac & Cheese and Tomb Raider)!

People actually watch Tomb Raider? Willingly? On purpose? What kind of crazy world do we live in?

As far as movies I've paid to see in theaters, that ranks in the top 5 for ones I wish I had walked out on. Others on the list include Watchmen and Freddy Got Fingered. The other two are probably for things so horrible, I've banished them from memory.

You kids and your games. When I was growing up, after I walked 10 miles to and from school, uphill both ways and in the snow, I had to do chores and was lucky to get 5 minutes of Tetris.

Video games exist in dog years, though. 8 months is really years when it comes to that stuff.

I did. (Though, to be fair, I've never seen the movie or played the game. Just pointing out that Kraft-Croft night is a thing.)

Sand =/= snow.
Let's not be so quick to say this is so. We'll take a look at the facts.

Statement / Reason
1. Both start with "S" / 1. Given
2. Both are four letters long / 2. Given
3. Both have an "n" in them. / 3. Given
4. They both cover the ground / 4. Natural property

QED Sand could = Snow

If it's all the same, I challenge you to consume a pound of sand while I consume a pound of snow.

Right now, my workspace is surrounded by green and growing things. I am a terrible gardener and will probably kill half or more of these, but for now, I love the sense of groundedness it adds to my space.

The top picture is lettuces, and in the red pots in the bottom one are more lettuces, the window box is nasturtiums, and the black pots are two cabbages and two cauliflowers. The tall stalk is a broad bean plant.

This excites me perhaps a bit more than it should but I walked in on the mail guy delivering the mail. I now know at approximately what time he comes through.

I am hoping to add to my little indoor garden. I've been promised some chives and rosemary from a friend, and I'm trying to sprout some chilli and pepper plants. If I can get them going, I'll give said friend a couple in trade. If I feel daring I may go nick some mint and oregano from my old backyard and see if there are any other plants worth nicking while I'm at it. Outside I have a pot of lavender that someone gave me, and I've planted a few wrinkly, sprouting old potatoes in pots (I hate throwing things away). I'm saving all the bottoms of milk jugs and soft drink bottles to use as pots for the smaller things. I'm a terrible gardener, but I'm hoping that if I start with lots, I'll keep a few alive!

I like pretty gardens, but I like edible ones even more!

Alea: :grouphug: So awesome!!!

There is nothing better than the feeling you get when, after an entire shower of almost-cold water, almost-cold water that you put up with by sitting in for way longer than necessary assuming it would turn hot, just when you're about to turn off the flow, steaming hot water comes pouring out and over you.

Nothing better.

I love some of the things I talk about in my sleep. This morning as the cats were walking all over me, I grabbed one and said "I love you fuzzy shark!".

Half the time what I say makes Will laugh so hard it wakes me up, I love this too.

Hmm. I have some sort of red jam in my fridge and I'm going to assume I went with the safest flavor I could, meaning it's likely strawberry. I might try this tomorrow morning. Or later tonight. Whenever.
