I love that my computer freak out last night did not result in me having to restore my month-old backup. All my files survived!

Birding day trip to CT planned for tomorrow. If I wake up early enough. Eight hours of round trip driving time!

Wow. And I thought the roadtrips to Tucson were brutal, topping out at a whopping 3.5 hours one way. I get very antsy if I'm in a car much longer than that.

I love:
My new floss. Wowsers, I love that stuff.

Oreo shakes.

Hot sandwiches.

Perfect weather.

I grew up making regular (2-4 times a year) 11-12 hour drives from New Orleans, LA to Augusta GA and back. Road trips were kind of a way of life for me. However, in the past year I have made no road trips at all.

I've also been involved in quite a few longer trips than that, some with a single driving session of more than 15 hours, and a few with multiple overnight stops and full day driving sessions. The only hard part for me is that I can't sleep well in a car so once I'm spent I'm done driving until I get a good night's sleep.

When I was a child/young teen I hated it, it was especially uncomfortable when my twin little sisters were born so it was two adults, two teens, and two babies in car seats stuffed into a station wagon. Even the drive got cramped during those drives.

I'm loving this too.

Let's see...

I love stupidly easy chocolate cake (I'm thinking of renaming it magic cake).

I love my new hat.

I love my new boots (waterproof feet at last!).

I love curry. Particularly the Nepali curry I had today.

I love sunny days in March when I can wear shorts and read outside.

Beasting my Philosophy of Law midterm. My group giving the best presentation in my martial arts class--I got to throw my sensei to the ground! Being on Spring Break.

Actually doing something for my Spring Break! (Childish Gambino concert on Friday, Paintballing on whenever my friend isn't busy.)

The (prop) sword of Michael the Archangel! The first night of the play, the girl playing Michael asked Nom if she wanted a sword, and Nom gave a huge grin. So we gave her the sword. As you can see, she was a fan.

Then she tried to eat the pommel.

It's really the best perspective to have. Babies got their priorities right.

That is definitely true. Eat, sleep, play, learn, feel. Sounds like the life to me.

I love that I'm getting a bulletin board. It will house all my ticket stubs, restaurant menus, and various maps/guides to places I've been and places I will go.

I'd love to see your new haircut, Fred.

I love the explosion of mail I got today. 3 packages!

I also love laundry fresh out of the dryer. I did a load last night and although I fold everything as I pull it out of the machine, I let it hang against my legs for a moment and oh man, closest thing to standing in the AZ sunlight you can get. It's heavenly.

I loathe getting my haircut. I've come out the other side of a hair appointment with a cut I like all of twice.

I've only ever had a bad hair cut experience once, and that's because I came away with something resembling a mullet. I don't have time for a picture now (getting ready for work) but I might later : ) I got about 7 inches cut off.

You should definitely train your kids in the way of the sword, young. Otherwise, how else will they know what to do when confronted by a dragon?

But seriously, get her a green hat, a green miniskirt, green tunic and make her play Heroine of Time.

Today we went to the airport to see Chris' sister husband and 2 kids on a long lay over.
We bought 2 pizzas and met them in the USO for dinner and to play with the kids.

thing that I love... While we were there a bunch of girl scouts came in and gave everyone cookies... and not just one or 2 off a tray, we ended up going home with 12 boxes!!!!

you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
