27 boxes of cereal sure wouldn't be very comfortable in my shirt!

It was matching a sale with a manufacturer's promotion with coupons. I'm really trying to dive into this coupon world. It took a couple of hours to figure out what to buy, which coupons to use and how to break up the transactions to maximize my savings (I had to do it in 6 transactions), but I saved almost $100! With my time at the store and time after I got home to go over my list for accuracy added into my prep time, it was like "making" $25 an hour!
That seriously is amazing though! I don't know why but when I know I have to break up transactions, I feel bad for the cashier. The crazy thing is, at work I really don't mind when people have break them up, and I even suggest it when I know it will save them money or get them an extra coupon for next time.

Yay for taking the time to save money : )

A kid's dad said I really "knew my stuff" in the "College Seminar" I helped put on! I have this weird obsession/source of pride with knowing things and getting to help/talk to other people about them.. I struggle with the secretive stuff..

Thanks, guys! I trip at least two to three times a week minimum and more when I'm on stages or in front of people, so this was a pretty big achievement for me.

Postby CezeN » Tue Jun 01, 2010 9:19 pm

I've made progress with my walk and posture!

Due to the fact that I've constantly worn heavy backpacks filled with all the work gathered that entire school year, until this year, starting in 6th grade, my spine/back/shoulders naturally curves in - I assume giving that Hunchback of Notre Dame sort of look.(well exaggeration)

I ignored all the signs, but FINALLY realized it this year.

Mostly because I started randomly getting comments from various people on my "walk".

As a result, I've been working to straighten up. At first, I apparently straightened up so much that I looked rigid. Some described it as if I'm an army guy, others jokingly said I looked like a model.
But then, I changed it - for the worse apparently, since I was then described as walking like a robot.

Finally, Seniors Award Night came, and I finally found the mixture of shoulders back, back straighter, and arms relaxed.

Apparently, according to my friend
"Hey Cez, what was that walk you did last night? I mean, I've never seen you walk like that, before. It wasn't your usual walk. Did you do it on purpose?"

Me: "I don't know. lol I guess I was kind of nervous walking in front of all those people after they completely slaughtered my name"

"It wasn't a bad thing, though. In fact, I actually kind of liked it. You looked really confident. You walked like you owned the place"

:)

That's pretty awesome! I've been off and on trying to work on my posture whenever I remember. Which is sadly seldom.

Thanks!
It's hard to remember, since your posture is just such a natural thing.

The only reason I've managed is because I've gotten soo many comments on my walk. At one point, I even researched how I'm supposed to walk and one of my friends tried to "teach" me.

Even then, outside of walking and in the privacy of my own home, my posture crumbles.

Yeah, it's a devil. Someday, perhaps, I shall manage it and be able to carry elegance in my stride and seat.

My wedding dress fits. Perfectly. Makes me look all kinds of skinny, from the front at least. Need to try to tone up my arms quite a bit, but otherwise we are good to go. Just need to not change sizes for the next four months.

Also, I managed to get into my dress all by myself without permanently damaging anything or getting so stuck someone would have to come run and help. The stupid attendant left me to my own devices, with instructions to call her when I needed to be laced up. I always had someone help me before. (I politely mentioned this to her manager, in a very casual, "I have no idea anything is wrong with that," sort of way -- the manager was the one who laced me up, and when she asked if I was going to need help getting out of the dress, I told her, "No, I think I'll be okay -- getting into it by myself was kind of a trick, though," and she looked pretty horrified/mortified, so I doubt it happens again.)

Found a bridesmaid's dress and a consultant willing to lie about my wedding date to speed up the rush on rush delivery. Good job I win. :)

(And if they all hate it, I don't really care right now. "Who wants to help me pick the dress?" asked the little red hen.)

I just found out I am nominated for junior AOA!! Sooooo excited, I can't stop smiling. :) 10 people were nominated, and most will get in but not all.

I still have a sinking feeling in my stomach that I won't get it, but for now I will try to enjoy the fact that I was even nominated.

I went visible on AIM today. I've only done that twice this calendar year and maybe less last year.

Who knows, I may lose enough crazy to not feel completely exposed being visible all the time. Just not anytime soon. Baby steps, baby steps.

I finally got around to getting rid of all the mail I got from colleges. And I only broke one garbage bag doing it.

+ I have finally started confronting my thoughts on my future. I wanted to wait maybe another month, but I had to plunge back in to it sometime. And it is terrifying me.

+ I have the chance to see him for the first time in a year within the next 2 weeks. I keep thinking of ways to go about proposing it, since we talk a lot these days. Too much. I am trying to think of some place on neutral ground, some place he and I have never been to together before. Which leaves a large city in the middle of us, but even that has associations--we were SUPPOSED to spend a day there together once and it didn't happen. But it will probably be there, because I don't want to drive all the way to him and its convenient. Even though at this point it is hard to think of things for us to even do together. But this is progress, of sorts.

My chilli plant has started sprouting! I wasn't entirely confident we'd get past the blossom stage, but by gum, I think we've done it!

Also, my basil isn't dead yet!

Got through a day of feeling very heebie-jeebieish. I have no idea why I felt that way, but it really stinking sucked. But it's more or less over. Other than needing to do some report writing.

I can actually see the difference that adding more tiny meals, taking in more calories, and focusing more on protein rich food is making in my body, specifically my abs.
