I can't tie a tie. I keep my tie tied and hung on the same hanger as the rest of my suit. All I have to do on the rare occasions I wear the thing is tighten it around my neck.

I know I've never talked about them on here. I just... well, I'm excited.

I went out wearing a shirt that said something.

((Yes, I know that you're all like "wtf? how is that a triumph;" but the truth is that ever since grade school I've been scared of having any writing or logos visible on my clothing, for fear I'd be made fun of "what are you doing wearing nike? you ain't a baller"))

what website?
It's not really a website, more like a website project for studying basic website making- HTML and stuff. So it's pretty ugly and useless, but it still runs. (Art isn't my stronger side)

I hung my junior gallery show, on 10 foot high walls, completely on schedule, completely straight, and completely without someone tall and burly.

All you really need is a good tape measure and hanging tools. And, of course, the sense to use them, which all too many people lack.

I never have to write another stupid paper for another stupid class in the pursuit of my Ph.D. The only writing left to me now is my dissertation -- and I at least chose that topic myself.

I have made it through the past month staying completely physically intact, and at least partially mentally/emotionally intact, with no thanks to a lot of people who said one thing about being there but showed no interest in actually being there.

I'm experiencing a little anger, today...sorry.

It's still about 2 hours and 23 minutes away, but with any luck, I'll have passed out by then or at least found something more productive to do.

As I pulled on the knob to release the hood of my car, so that I might jump it, so that I might drive home for the summer, the knob came off, followed by a cable that had apparently snapped.

See? Told you you wouldn't understand the triumph.

I don't know that this is so much a triumph, but it seemed the best place for the information: I landed a second interview on my first shot out the gate in two years.

And I one upped that.

Today I got offered the position out of the initial group of 11 or so candidates and second round group of 5.

After it got snapped today, I personally fixed my (much beloved) watch back to normal, without any help.

That might be the only triumph I posted here that I actually felt truely triumphant after accomplishment.. :D

I have called every single major twist in LOST this season. Without reading any spoilers or theories. I'm awesome.
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

I have a talent similar to that- only I can forsee solutions to on-screen conflicts and problems (regardless of whether it's a movie, where it's easier, or a TV show). Only thing keeping me from forseeing an entire Prison Break season is the simple fact that I can't forsee the problems- which are the plot twist.

So, I suggest you and I unite for the mightiest theory team in the land.

I can't claim anything as great as Kelly's (I hear LOST is pretty crazy with the twists), but it reminded me of a proud moment of calling twists. A minor "R.O.D. the TV" spoiler below:

In R.O.D. the TV, in that episode with the fake Michelle in that weird town and whatnot, I remember instantly identifying her as a fake almost the moment she appeared on the screen. In retrospect it doesn't seem like a very difficult twist to call, but I was watching it with someone who had seen the series before, and they were a bit impressed at the time. It just felt really cool. :)

I finished my first Finals exam- and I felt like I did it really well (disregarding the fact that it was extremely easy, of course). There's one subject I won't (or am not supposed to) learn anymore..

Today, I got catcalled by some construction workers. I don't think that's ever happened to me. I'm guessing they didn't notice I'm 6 1/2 mo. pregnant.

I really wanted to yell back "You're just reinforcing negative stereotypes!" but I didn't have the guts.

I got up out of my comfy bed and made notes on what I was reading instead of having a nap. (I still want the nap.)
