I hate how much more work showers seem when I'm on my period, even though it's not more work at all.

I had my annual pap with my new gyno today. She seemed nice and we actually talked a lot about how my shoulder injury and lack of work is affecting my mental sate, she suggested all kinds of volunteering I could do. I really liked that she looked at more than my lady parts.
As far as the appointment, least uncomfortable pelvic exam I have ever had, and we talked about my IUD needing to be taken out next month and putting a new one in. so that went well. The only "worrisome" thing is she said I had a bit more discharge ten she would expect so she is having it tested for yeast/bacterial vaginosis. that will be "easy to treat" But hearing how difficult it has been for Steph and Luet I am less than enthused. I don't have any discomfort so hopefully its just me being me and I don't have to deal with any treatment at all.
So now I just have to check and see my insurance coverage for the IUD insertion and schedule it for sometime in January.

Well its bacterial vaginosis... I have to "use one application per vagina nightly for 5 nights" Of a cream antibiotic. Now I know there are women out there that have more than one vagina but the wording on this Rx it pretty entertaining to me. I also have to abstain from sex for 2 weeks or use condoms... so we bought condoms for the first time in almost 5 years. and avoid alcohol.... not just drinking it but apparently hand sanitizer and rubbing alcohol are also a no-no.

hopefully it clears up fast with no yeast follow up.

I don't think there is a FAQ, but it came from a chat (like, 10 years ago, haha) between Craig (Alai) and John (Hegemon) about Craig going on a date to a zoo. Ever since then, it's something to yell, in all caps, in the chat. I don't think anyone left on the board was actually there for the original chat. Maybe Ed?

You know, gynecologists are like humorists. They work where others have fun.

I was there for the ZOOSEX chat.... Craig was taking a girl on a date in Portland and was asking for suggestions.... John said take her to the ZOO, and john wove this whole tail about going to see all the animals and then it ended in them having sex at the zoo in front of some animal enclosure or another. which led to manly MANY yells of ZOOOSEX!!!!! and XESOOZ!!!! just for fun. it was a LONG chat more then an hour went into the tale. I'm pretty sure Craig did take her to the zoo BUT so no ZOOSEX was had.

A year or so later I moved to Portland and took a class that evolved many trips that same zoo and was witness to lots of zoosex by the animals..
