i'm unaffiliated. generally i believe that a balance of both democratic and republican parties is key to a smooth running government. i just cannot agree with any one side.

Independent, although right now I lean toward the Dems.

Well, I'm with the Conservatives here in Canada but I doubt that is really at the same level as the Republicans. I think I might be more sympathetic with the Democrats.

I affiliate with the dems, but that doesn't mean that I tow the party line.

Constitutionalist.

:P Just kidding. I do like a lot of what they believe in, but not as law for this country. They're extremists.

Anyway, I believe political parties are a bunch of crap, as they are today. It's America. It's not Democrats and Republicans. Way too much competition.

But I lean mostly towards republican views.

I'm unaffiliated with a party. Interestingly, I hadn't ever looked up the socialist party until I saw this poll. I agree with so much of it that I am starting to wonder how to break it to my parents that I'm a socialist. :stoned:

NDP!

...I guess that's socialist?

Republican, you silly goose. Of course, I do vote out of party on occasion.

Free State project; though I voted libertarian in the above poll. The only one, it seems.

Tories, although if the Grits can get themselves together and actually represent my riding, I may actually consider them in around ten years. At the moment they're too used to being in power and the time off is good for them.

I put Republican, but I try to stay out of politics as much as possible. I really don't understand society or human interaction enough to have an educated opinion on the subject, and I think way too many people feel obligated to choose sides without actually knowing anything about them.

That is exactly my sentiment!

I don't really side with any party, but I tend to agree with the Republicans on fiscal issues and teh Dems on social ones.

I want lower taxes, but with the same, or better, social coverage.

Actually, when I referred to social issues a couple posts back, I meant things like elective abortions and gay marriage. I am pretty liberal when it comes to things like sex and whatnot.

As for things like welfare, medical care and whatnot, I prefer to minimize it as much as possible because when I am done school I will likely never be in a situation where i need welfare and I will also likely have a job that gives me phenomenal medical coverage. I don't really care much about the problems of those who are not in the same situation.

And how many abortions and gay marriages do you plan to have, HA?

As many as it takes to get it right, I would think.

I consider myself Republican, but really I like looking at the canidates, where they stand on the issues, and I vote based off of that.

One problem last election, the democratic canidates didn't say how they stand. Their idea of information was to say: "Fed up? Vote Democrat!" (that was literally all they could say)
