By unanimous vote, we elect Jebus as Pope.

It doesn't work that way. Now that Jebus is Pope, you have to ask him, first.

HA, pope does not elect god, you'd think religious folk would know that already.

Get your blessings, get 'em while they're holy!

Is it ok that this is technically the second religion set up in my honour on PWeb? I mean, that attention-seeking God fella' has three major religions (and probably more knowing him...).

f*** that man! I'm still an atheist!

P.S. This belongs in Milagre, because it doesn't fall under the purview of this forum (unless of course somebody sincerely believes in a church, with Jebus as Pope and an as-yet-undecided God, which I doubt.)

I don't elect, I merely lead us on the righteous path to the one and true God.

I ele.... sorry righteously lead us into the loving arms of our Mother God EL, in a very you-scratch-my-back-I-scratch-yours move that will have the angsty atheists screaming.

Now wait a second, I had a friend in high school that called the rights to the papacy. I think he should get first dibs.

I don't care, as long as this is in Milagre. It's "souring" the environment here

We're allowed to have light-hearted threads in here, too.

I put forward that it's fine where it is, and I will scream bloody murder over the insult to my religion if it's moved.

I don't think so EL:
This is a place for:

*Learning and Discussing about the nature of beliefs that people may hold as dear and True
*Learning and Discussing WHY individuals hold those beliefs as such
*Discussing those beliefs and clearing up misconceptions for greater mutual understanding
It says nothing about light-hearted threads, and I feel that the communal interest would be better served if this were in Milagre. I feel that it's a bit of double-speak to criticize my posts by pointing out that this forum is here for a very specific reason, then going outside that reason and putting up something like this. I'm sorry Jebus, it's nothing against you, but I don't think this thread is appropriate for this forum, and I feel like it is making this place less effective in doing what it's supposed to do.

you're not really helping your situation eri.

*spits on EL*
*flips off EL*
*cusses at EL*

just treating you the way i treat my catholic god.

Look, I didn't ask to be made the "our Mother God EL." If you can convince Jebus to give you the job, it's yours.

I hereby move that in the First Church of Jebus, Eriador is the wicked one, Satan, called the Devil.
The Makeout Hobo is real, and does indeed travel around the country in his van and make out with ladies... If you meet him, it is customary to greet him with a shot of whiskey and a high five (if you are a dude) or passionate makeouts (if you are a lady).

Can I and Jebus start excommunicating each other now?

I might point out that Seth is the evil god in Egyptian mythology, so taking the role of EL's only worthwhile opponent would be fine by me.

What is the mass like in the church of Jebus?
Or is there a purgatory, too? Since Jebus is pope, there might be these things in it.
If there is a purgatory, people could have to resort to the Medival system of excessive indulgences to get out of purgatory.
