you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

THIS THE WORST DECISION I EVER MADE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.
IT'S STILL NOT HERE.

four glasses of champagne made the first 400 pages go down easy. And I was just entranced and kept reading.
I am utterly and totally and completely satisfied. I feel no questions, no need to really jump into discussions, no need really to even rave about favorite scenes and moment. It's just an unbelievably perfect ending to the series. Fabulous. Though halfblood prince is still my favorite because it's such a brilliant blend of a comedy-of-manners and thriller/mystery. But I think it's fair to call it my favorite simply because it makes me laugh and cheer and get involved the most. This one makes me laugh and cheer (ahh Ginny's bday present..., Neville, mrs Weasley etc) but it has just such a marvelous soothing and calming effect. though there were some very wrenching deaths and other emotional bombs in the book.
This also reveals even more how completely incompetent the screenwriter of movie five was, thank god they've chucked him, even if they haven't gotten rid of that sub-columbus director.
I really want movie 7 to be R, but I'll settle for a hard pg13. I just don't want them to have to shoot around certain scenes.

So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.

Finished.
And it was DIFFICULT not to hear spoilers. My aunt ruined part, and I told her if she didn't shut up, I would never speak to her again.
No computer, No AIM, No real phone conversations.
Lots of screaming when people threatened to ruin it.
But I made it through, mostly without knowing anything that might happen. Yay!!!
But...it's really odd that this is the last book...
Like...really, really odd...
