Wii-related injuries and damage

Wii-related injuries and damage

Postby fawkes » Thu Dec 07, 2006 2:58 pm

It always amazes me how game companies never seem to look ahead when it comes to product design. "Hey, let's make the 360 as seperate components, then not make it backwards compatable!" "Oooh, I know, let's make the DS so big and clunky you need a Nintendo-brand puse just to carry it around!"

Well, once again, the geniuses at Nintendo have come up with another great idea: The Wii-mote. I find it obvious that if you're going to have the controller used as some sort of ping-pong padle, maybe you should make sure it can handle the stress of being flung around, possibly slipping out of people's hands.

If I were to draw a picture of me as God on an etch-a-sketch, would you worship me?

Of course, we don't know any of the other factors that might have contributed to this happening. How hard was this guy playing? Was the remote already damaged or defective?

Personally, I think the Wii is the new path that games will take (Having to actually move your ass to cause action in the game)

Yeah, maybe they should have made the wrist straps a little more durable, but holy crap, is it that hard to hold on to the thing?

In answer to your question, Jeebsy; Probably.

If you're moving around a lot, I'd assume your hands would get a little sweaty. There are gel things that you can get for them to improve the grip, but I doubt many people know about them.

I'm just afraid to ask where anyone got enough astroglide to fill a pool.
The Makeout Hobo is real, and does indeed travel around the country in his van and make out with ladies... If you meet him, it is customary to greet him with a shot of whiskey and a high five (if you are a dude) or passionate makeouts (if you are a lady).

Maybe, if you asked nicely.

I wouldn't know. Ask the guy who damaged his TV.

Only very special stores. Astroglide is a "personal lubricant."

You can buy it (and KY) at the drugstore. You'd just need to buy alot of it. It's not like it's only use is sex, gutterface.

Playing in a manner that causes you to lose control of the CONTROLLER means that you are a playing like a freakin' toolbox, and have no business playing video games anyways. GO OUTSIDE.

This is just like a person who falls down in a store and calls his/her lawyer. they're both blown out of proportion.
