The smell of harvest season in the early morning and greasing up the combine . Sometimes I can hear Gramps voice or maybe feel it , I can almost see his strong big hand pointing to a possible problem I was overlooking and feel his other hand on my shoulder. Yep I guess I'm irrationally happy.

Was just going over resumes and applications at work and one person who's applying's name is Wang Mu Lin...I want to hire her based on the fact that her name is one of my favorite literary characters!

Brunch Egg Caserole...picture this...a layer of tater tots (or shredded hasbrowns) then sausage crumbles, bacon, and peppers, then pour eggs over it all and top it with probably too much shredded cheese and bake. The wife of the couple I'm living with made it again last night (breakfast for dinner also makes me way too happy) and I think there are leftovers...there won't be this evening...

My Bud GW makes something like that when in camp called "catastrophe" with cut up spuds bacon ,canada bacon, eggs cheese and carmalized onions all melted together in a big dutch oven. Stupendous!

There was a cake with real buttercream frosting--made with actual butter--in the breakroom at the office. I ate some, and it was glorious.

I like my signature, I feel like it's a pretty good one. But I have to sign off on dozens of forms a day so I can get a little sloppy with it, but every once in a while I'll do one where I just have to stop and say "Man, that looks so good!" My lines and loops will be in just the right proportions, or the slant of this letter or that is perfect, etc...That feels good.

Signing PhD after my name has yet to get old. I make a big loopy P, a small h whose stem is up through the P loop, and a nice assertive, yet casual, D. It's quite fun.

"I took your advice."

A friend at work was debating between a promotion here or a position elsewhere. He was going to just blow off the interview at the other place but I told him he should follow through with both possibilities until he's sure one way or the other. That was last week, tonight he told me he took my advice and went to the interview yesterday and really hopes he gets the position. I hope he does too, it sounds like it will be a lot better for him than this place. Now I just need to take my own advice and follow through with my plan to seriously start looking around in the new year.

Robotic Vacuum Cleaners. For some strange reason I can't quite shake the idea that they are our children's future. That and Easy bake ovens. . . :kisses:

A guy thats been fixing the scarry gas heater in my old beechcraft found me a new old stock B-25 pilot and copilot seats all complete! They are in his cousins barn in Alberta. Both nicer than the ugly right side seat that I bought last year on ebay! I'm very excited

I had been avoiding some graphic novel committee duties for a few weeks because it was piling up and starting to intimidate.

All caught up now!
