That tube thing in the background is really cool. What is it?

That's Cloud Gate, a.k.a. The Bean. It was a poor attempt at a joke but also something I thought was pretty recognizably Chicago.

Hoping to see more pictures and will, at the very least, take one in MN with the giant spoon.

I tried to get this started when I first started the site! Expect an LA-area follow up soon :)

Think EA reaches enough people to make a contest out of it? Maybe as the way to win a poster? Submit one, get entered into a drawing sort of thing?

O my goodness. This is awesome. I will have to come up with something genius. Except I don't have a copy of EG here! Can I do SftD instead?

Dude. Get people to print out Darian's Propaganda posters, and take a picture of them posted somewhere around town.

hmm, I wonder if I can get someone to let me in the stellarator exhibit room again (and if a bookstore around here carries Ender).

Hmm. Interesting proposal. I was thinking of making rather large posters for my living room, personally, but I really would need original files from Darian to pull off the resolution.

Let me think on this and see if I can figure out how that work for me but yeah, I'm definitely behind anything that will encourage others to spread the EG love. While I was taking my picture, I had a group stop and talk to me about the book and how much they loved it. It was a really awesome moment, connecting with a stranger like that. I can't tell you the number of times I've stopped and thought to myself, "Because of a book..."

I'm debating whether or not I should actually take Ender on safari with me next month... it'd be kinda overboard just for a photo ... on the other hand, very cool :)

As long as the words "Ender's" and "Game" are visible, then I don't see why not. The world is evolving; capture it in a picture. :)

Thanx!

Obviously Ender visited all the same places I did... The previous one was within sight of Kilimanjaro (although the mountain never deigned to show itself)...

This one is in a more "rustic" luxury camp in south-western Kenya, a part of the Serengeti:

About one hour using public transportation... this is the first time i'm actively using the subway in a city with subway, so i don't know if it's normal, but switching from line to line in transfer stations is a time consuming task XD

Not really. It's not as bad as Hurricane Igor was 2 years ago. We had our power go out for a couple of hours, but nothing else. I've seen pictures from around the island of roofs blown off houses, things tipped over and some trees ripped up, but not any really major damage.
