I must say that as happy as I am that you have the love of a good woman, why the rush? If she's truly your soulmate, then why not wait a few years? She's not going anywhere, you're not going anywhere, your love isn't going anywhere. Once you're married, there is (should be) no backing out, it's for life. I've always believed it's better to wait untill you're older. I mean, you're not going to be the same person and she isn't going to be the same person at 25 as you are today, let alone 55. Who knows how things between you might change.
That being said, congratulations, i wish you both the best

The Makeout Hobo is real, and does indeed travel around the country in his van and make out with ladies... If you meet him, it is customary to greet him with a shot of whiskey and a high five (if you are a dude) or passionate makeouts (if you are a lady).

I, too, believe that 19 is to young but here I am. I've been thinking about that all day but heck, I've lived much longer then my 19 years. I had to grow up really fast from the age of 10 on.
But I won't bore you with the details of my life.

I wish you good luck. I'm also curious to find out how everything turns out.

And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there,
With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair.

Partially due to my current situation, and partially because it's true; I offer you this...I, too, believe that 19 is to young but here I am. I've been thinking about that all day but heck, I've lived much longer then my 19 years. I had to grow up really fast from the age of 10 on.

Just because you did doesn't mean she did.
In other words, you may feel like you are, or even be, ready for marriage at 19. But that doesn't mean she is.
I got engaged at 19, she was 20
She "got scared" and cheated on me at 20, she was 21.
Anyways, enough of that.
I'm happy for ya man. It's a really exciting thing. Have you spoken to her parents at all? Done the whole "honorable" thing and asked for their permission?

I remember that story... it was on old PWeb. I tried searching the cached pages of google, but I came up short. Too bad, because it was a f****** funny story. No, but I sure did witness it
As I recall, it involved a posse of strange people giving a girl flowers after her boyfriend proposed to her. Hege was asked to be part of this posse, and was told to give the girl the flower after this old woman did.
He followed the directions... unfortunately, the old woman jumped the gun, and this girl was left standing there bewildered as a dozen strangers came up to her to give her flowers.
Her boyfriend then proposed, and she told him she couldn't and ran out of the mall.
(Do I have that right?)

Guess what? She said "no".
Okay, I lied-she said "yes"!!!!!!!!
So, the night started out at a really fancy restaurant in the historical district of the downtown square (many towns have one). She was wearing this beautiful black dress with a black trenchcoat and white high-heels (she changed into tennis shoes because we walked around the square. I was wearing black dresspants, black dress shoes, a black turtleneck, and a black trenchcoat (we wore all black for a reason).
I then pointed out to her a white horse and carriage down the street which I reserved and as we were riding the carriage I showed her a letter that I wrote for her telling her how much I loved her. While she was reading the letter I pulled out the ring and when she was down I actually got kind of aggravated because she didn't notice the ring!!!! So, I said to her, "Look at my hand."
She looked in my hand and I asked her to marry me. When the carriage ride was over we walked around the square and listened to live reggae music and then went to this art show being held to show off the artwork of elementary students. I couldn't believe that all these little kids were running around and the people hosting the art show were serving alcohol!
Anyway, I saw these lemon slushies and I got one for Damaris and myself and after taking a drink I realized that it was an alcoholic beverage!!! We threw the drinks away because I couldn't believe that they just let me grab one without asking to look at my ID. (Damaris could have kept hers because she's over 21 and obviously I could have kept mine if I had wanted it)
We then decided to go to Chili's so she could try the Molten Chocolate Cake that they have at Chili's. (If you havent' had one I recommend it).
Anyway, there was more to the night. It turned out wonderfully, even more wonderfully then I had hoped with all of the extra stuff thrown in there!!!!
Anyway, so there you go, hegemon.
