I'd respond to this, but I'm too high to type coherently.

How's gov't regulation stopped poisonous chemicals from being put in tobacco?

1. My argument was simply meant as an additional thing to think about - I had nothing else to say on health and crime issues, the rest of you seemed to be covering them well enough.

2. You're absolutely right that the government barely regulates (or not at all) what is put into cigarettes. However, we all know they should, and definitely have the capicity to do so, not only for tobacco products but for marijuana. Some states allow medicinal marijuana, after all, surely they have a system for that which could work for mainstream buyers as well as cancer patients.
