I have seen all of the Back to the Future movies except for the part in the second one when they go to the future. I've seen that movie probably a dozen or more times, but somehow I *always* miss the first part. I am not sure how this has happened...

I've never seen Avatar.

...but I think that's because it came out when I had a newborn.

and...that's it. I like knowing everything.
I think this post should go in the triumphs thread for not falling for the over-hyped steaming pile of BS. I know I'd be proud of myself were it true, unfortunately, though, it's doubly not true.

Tell us how you really feel, Josh...

I'm not sure that seeing it means automatically "falling for" it. I saw it but don't consider myself to have fallen for it.

I, too, have avoided Avatar. I don't consider it popular even though tons of people paid multiple times to see it, usually paying extra to see it in 3D. It wasn't popular, people were just hypnotized by it, or something.

This isn't exactly true to the thread name because I have seen/read it years and years ago, but I never got into Post Secret and can't understand what would be so interesting about it that someone would be driven to buy the book of compiled secrets. Unlike the website, the book secrets are permanent/never-updated.

Maybe this should go into the Things I Don't Understand thread. Meh.

I would never buy one of the books but it's one of the few things I like to browse if I am in a B&N store.

I don't know how popular it is among normal folk, but I have never watched Avatar (the anime, not the blue things or the Shyamalan creation). I keep hearing how amazing it is, but never quite got the desire to watch it. Should this remedied?
I used to hate gravity because it would not let me fly. Now I realize it is gravity that lets me stand.

It's pretty good. It took me all of the first season to finally get into it, but what's nice about it is 1) the characters actually develop, and 2) it was written with an ending in mind, and they met that ending. It's funny and cute and badass at times. Do recommend.

I highly recommend. It's a great show to do on a binge, so if you can get your hands on the all the seasons and watch them back-to-back, it's really enjoyable.

I am coming out of the shadows to throw my recommendation for Avatar too. It really is amazing. Anyone I have ever told to watch it has loved it. You can get through the entire series rather quickly. Like JL said, great to binge on. It is also very re-watchable! Whether you catch a couple episodes on TV or want to re-watch the entire series.

I caught on when the second half of season 2 was airing, and I must say that out of all the TV shows that I have watched, this was the hardest to wait for new episodes/new seasons. I have my issues with the third season, but it still was pretty awesome. I think I am going to have to re-watch it now. Thanks guys :stoned:

We'll just have to fix that.

Dr. Who, The DaVinci Code, Animal Farm, Hair Dye...

I'm sure there's a lot more. I lead a strange life.
