I could swear I've voted already. I like Fluttershy. Even her sneezes are graceful.
I think you mean shneezes :)

Satya, do you fallback to ponychan when that happens, or what?

Episode 4 was alright to me. While I like this Luna, I do prefer and miss the season 1 Luna, in terms of voice and hair. The alleged Rarity scene that got cut also sounded great, which is annoying. But it was still very fun :D

Any idea if this is for real? I guess it's not surprising.

I did find myself missing Rarity in this episode. I don't really follow anything on the internet about MLP, so I didn't even know there was an alleged cut scene.

I do. I don't like it as much, but now that it has an auto-refresh/quickreply script it's not so bad.

And Canon Luna = Best Luna. The whole fandom built up around her was really awful in my humble opinion. I actually quite like the direction they took the character.

Thoughts? Opinions?

I was honestly underwhelmed by this episode and even though I could see quite a bit more of myself in Rarity in this episode than ever before, I disliked so much about her.

I enjoyed the episode a lot. I found myself identifying some with Rarity on the frustration of little sisters, but she was pretty annoying in the beginning of the episode.

Is this the first episode without Twilight Sparkle?

To Petra, yes I do believe it's the first without any appearance from Twilight.

The new paradigm of having any of the mane 6 writing the lesson-letters gives them more options with characters and story I think.

And GD I was also a little underwhelmed; probably considering how great the rest of the first couple of episodes this season have been.

Although Applejack does come out of it looking even more awesome than before, which I enjoyed. =D

I rather liked it. Although, I do agree that it was much... milder? Than the previous episodes. There wasn't a whole lot going on, almost felt stretched, probably would have existed fine in a show with episodes half as long (or could have existed as half an episode, with another storyline as a B-side; which would have been easy since we didn't see half of the cast...).

But still, what was there, was fun. I was a little worried about the season 2 episodes starting to get a bit too... over the top and silly, and this was definitely in the opposite direction.

It also clearly showed that Rarity is a bitch and at least one of the cmc is an idiot :D

Okay guys.

It's taken me half of a season, but I finally have something to say (beyond "holy hell can someone get that theme song out of my head the rhymes don't work the lyrics are atrocious AHHHHH"):

The episode where Rarity makes all of the dresses? That is my life.

Also, Art of the Dress from that episode is my favorite of all the songs.

awww, Boss, you've actually watched some! I have to admit, I didn't quite believe you would and then, if you did, I didn't think you'd stick to it.

Does anyone care to chime in on the "Smile Pinkie" song, specifically the last 30 seconds or so? (Assuming the link hasn't been killed yet). Good ending? Bad ending? Neutral ending? zero and I disagree on it, so I'd like to hear what others think.

I tend to stick with any show someone recommends to me. It's one of those things that I do. I can't think of a single show that I've eventually quit watching, no matter what my opinion was of it, because I, in general, enjoy watching things.

I think it was a pretty neutral ending. Nothing special, but it still fit the song. I thought it was adorable : )

And I don't think the ending of "Pinkie Smile" is bad; I just don't like it. I much prefer the beginning/middle; the end just sounds too much like a musical.

Things I loved about this episode:
-Granny Smith
-Pinkie's confession
-background ponies at the bowling alley
-seeing the inside of Applejack's home

Thing I miss:
-Seeing all 6 mane ponies in the same episode

Thing I am unsure of liking or not:
-Ponies other than Twilight writing to Princess Celestia

These past two episodes haven't had much to talk about, for me. I'm enjoying them but my favorite episodes are the ones that make it possible to think up backstory for the characters.

Yeah, the last two eps have been okay. Mostly liked that they both had plenty of AJ for a CMC episode. =) Clever ending of the Sisterhooves ep with Rarity posing as AJ. Also liked that there was pretty much zero Rainbow Dash in the last few, since she's got plenty of popularity as it is. And Pinkie's confession was the best bit of humor in them; the Big Lebowski references being the best fan shout-out. (how many people under 16 even know what it is?)

As someone almost done with the first season, they do this a heck of a lot. It surprises me, actually, that they don't shoehorn at least an appearance in with every episode.

I got Pinkie Pie. I was as honest as I could be, and really thought that I would have ended up most like Fluttershy because I identify with her the most (even if Pinkie Pie is my favorite).

I've never seen the show and have no intention to, but I'm bored and part of me misses the old days when we'd spam LJ with pointless quizzes and memes. So apparently I'm Twilight Sparkle, whatever that means.

I just got a chance to watch the latest episode and I seriously loved it. There was the song that wasn't great but it wasn't terrible, and I didn't realize how much I missed the songs in general until there was a new one.

All 6 were in this, which made me happy.

Good grief, I've forgotten all the little parts I really liked about it but it's been a few hours since I saw it, so I'm forgiving myself and will just have to watch it again to remind myself of them.

I of course loved the animal (the turtle -it's a tortoise!) that won and I loved the solution of how to keep him closer to her than he would be on his own.

I absolutely loved this episode! I was still annoyed like crazy at Rainbow Dash, but the tortoise is completely awesome. I missed having all six together too, so it was great to see them back together.

Two Rainbow Dash-centric episodes in a row...seems like poor planning to me, even if they were fun episodes that I genuinely liked.

Now, I'm a sucker for dancing, so when Rainbow Dash started doing the popping (or is it locking? or something else entirely? the arm thing), I could not stop laughing. This, plus the running man dance that Discord did are in the same category of awesome for me.

There was also much love for the baby pony. My god, that thing was strange but adorable; it was like a bowling ball with four legs, a tail, and a mane.

Before the big reveal, for some reason, I thought the Mare Do Well was going to be Rarity and Rarity alone but I was glad to see it was a team effort.

Rainbow Dash is starting to get on my nerves, so hopefully she'll be toned down a bit in the upcoming episodes; the arrogance was precisely what I despised in Trixie, so it's not fun to see in one of the mane 6. Speaking of them, they were all more or less in this episode, so more happiness there.

All in all, it was a fun episode. :)
