It's probably how you made it and what kind of tea it was. Tea sucks if it's not made properly (much like coffee).
Well, Sig-changer, it was one of those little baggy deals, where you leave it in hot water for X amount of time, pull it out, then drink it. The flavor was supposed to be cinnamon chocolate chai or something like that.

That does sound kinda gross.

If the flavors available sound gross (like that), I usually go with plain black tea. With either honey and lemon or honey and cream. Now I want tea. The only tea I can drink plain is herbal. I have a chamomile mint that I love all by itself.

The point of tea.
Tea was invented to put in ice and drink.

My tea update and correction: It was actually chocolate caramel, the cinnamon was another type I was eyeing and decided against.

Also, I discovered the honey and the sugar; half a bear and half a shaker later, I had some kind-of-tasty tea. I would venture to call it mostly good, even.

That sounds awful. I mean, a nice pu-erh tea with caramel can be good, but it's heck of expensive stuff. Not the kind you'd find in a bag in a breakroom. I'm sorry your tea was awful. :(

The Penn State rioters.

You know, I can get maybe feeling conflicted about firing him, kind of, maybe, but I'm sorry. When you think, "Hey! I'm going to go out and riot and be all destructive because I'm so mad that they're firing a guy who knew about a child being raped, did nothing about it, and did nothing to prevent the man from acting again. And he's a football hero! He shouldn't get in trouble!" perhaps the meta thought that should occur is, "Hm. Instead of rioting, maybe I'll stay home and re-examine my priorities."

Didn't you know? Football heroes are exempt from moral laws.

Seriously though--that is ridiculous. I didn't know people were protesting.

I've been following the story obsessively and everything about it makes me feel sick.

I think this article has cleared up some of my confusion about the riots, though: http://joeposnanski.si.com/2011/11/10/t ... f-paterno/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Here is another article about the riots: http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/721 ... penn-state" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks for the links. Both good reads.

I'm still, shall we say, unimpressed with the rioters. But it does add to my understanding.

How is it already December? In the year 2011? We have to be in the future by now, right?

Geez, yeah. I can't wrap my head around this, either.

I thought so too but it seems that people are lying to me. They keep saying that tomorrow is in the future, but then when it comes they tell me it's the present. I'm starting to think that the future is make-believe. I wait for it but it never comes.

The future will never come if you don't make it happen. You're going to need to put some effort into making tomorrow stay tomorrow.

How is it 19th century British literature makes me squee and have heart flutters and just become a pile of girly romantic mush? People don't even so much as kiss! Something about those longing looks just pierces me right through, I guess.

Never understood people who are okay with dozing off in the middle of something unimportant at a time when they should simply go nap/sleep.
I always catch my brother sleeping with his earphones in and laptop on - why not just crawl into your comfortable bed? Personally, if I feel myself nodding off, after roughly 3 times of head falling - I just put my stuff up and officially go to sleep. It's that easy. Don't you wanna be comfortable first and sleep uninterrupted? It boggles my mind.

Perhaps because the romance has a genuine foundation, and the author has created two characters who are truly well-suited--however many obstacles might be in their way--which increases the sexual tension without exploiting it and makes the reader very much champion the match. In other words, when modern day writers have their characters make out incessantly in lieu of anything resembling plot or character development the stories suffer for it. Hooray for the classics!

I don't understand why people keep asking to join a Facebook group that has multiple announcements that the group is moving to a FB page. These announcements are viewable by anyone on FB even if they are not a member of the group.

I finally had to make the group "secret."

Ya think that will stop people from asking to join?

How someone could confuse me for a black person. I was called a "dirty nigger" by a man today. I know he was talking to me because no one else was out on that street at the time, at least not within sight. At least he was drunk, so that helps explain some of it.

I also don't understand how it is I almost always add a "g" to the end of "within" without realizing I have.

I can't "officially" go to sleep. I'll find myself dozing off while i'm reading or on my laptop, and if I stop to put whatever it is im doing away i'll completely wake up. Sleep almost always has to sneak up on me (which leads to some very looong nights).

^I just had a vision of like the personified embodiment of sleep - pictured as a figure in black - trying his hardest to sneak up on you at night. But everytime he gets close, you look up, and he hides. Like a ghost. Or the Shadow/daughter-sleeping-on-couch scene from Paranormal Activity 2.
That's just weird. Everyone knows black hobbits are an urban legend.
This made me laugh really hard for some reason...

I've had times there there aren't 3 head nods before I doze off, usually after I wake up I'll head to my comfy bed, but it has been known to last long enough that I'm just not tired anymore after that.

Also, if there is music on that just helps lull me to sleep without my realizing it. (Unless it's Rite of Spring or some Wagner opera or Rammstein or something.)

I actually agree with Cezen (I know, what?!). I don't remember a time that I have accidentally fallen asleep since I was a little kid. I'm either awake or trying to fall asleep (bedtime or a nap). I never fall asleep while doing something else like reading or watching tv. I've always assumed people that do this must be really lacking in sleep or have untreated sleep apnea or something.

When it happens to me it is usually because I'm in much need of sleep, either from getting too little the night before or being on the odd side of one of my sleep schedule changes (long story).

I have been famished all day and I do not know why. After a very large chunk of cheese, two granola bars, a slice of bread, a drumstick (chicken leg, not the ice cream), and an apple, I am somewhat satiated. But l fear it won't last long. Is this what being pregnant and/or a teenage boy feels like?

The only time I have felt this is when I lower the dose of my Topamax. One of the side effects of it is weight loss (less appetite) and when I go off or lower the dose, I feel starving all the time!

The lead on those tends to break easily when I use it for sketching stuff, though it is better at doing detail than a regular pencil. Still, my drawing loyalties lie with a regular pencil. :)
