Free to Be You and Me

I've been thinking a lot lately about how it used to seem possible that sexism would just end. This is a memory of those optimistic days.

I had no idea that "Free to Be: You and Me" was even about sexism when I was little. When I finally was in college and downloaded the album, as I was riding on the waves of nostalgia to Alan Alda's voice, my mind was blown.

I honestly can't recall if I've ever even heard this song before; I don't recognize it at all. Very nice and the flower in your hair was a nice touch. :)

Brian wrote this TLAPD song. We sang and recorded it last night at our annual party.

That was really cool, Brian and Steph (and friends)! My mom overheard part of it and knew immediately, without hearing the chorus, that it was for TLAPD.

I don't suppose we might get a peek at the lyrics?

Well, I can't very well ignore a request from an adoring fan, can I? Haha. However, in an effort to avoid incurring the wrath of any possible copyright/publisher gurus who may eventually be annoyed if I post the lyrics online, I will email the lyrics to "Arrgh! Avast! (A Talk Like a Pirate Day song)," to anyone who would like a copy. Just reply or IM me or something!

On a side note, I definitely think there needs to be a pirate smiley face. Perhaps P-) or P{0 could be the code that brings up a little dude with an eyepatch.

Thanks, everyone! We had fun with Brian's awesome song. It is quite catchy. In fact, it's been stuck in my head since Sunday. :|

It's been a while, but here's another song. This is a Woody Guthrie song that somehow feels very current.

By the way, remember that I take requests!

Yet another song I'd never heard before. Sure does seem relevant. Thanks for sharing. :)

My request: Coldplay's The Scientist. One of my favorite songs ever.

I'm trying to think of a request, but the only song that keeps coming back is "Tonight You Belong to Me" which was the first song you did in this thread.

Also, I find it hilarious in the video how your hand gets all blurred like you're strumming REALLY fast.
