It usually doesn't hurt -he doesn't treat my nipples like he does my fingers, thank God, or I'd have thrown in the towel long ago. He does occasionally bite and went through a yanking phase briefly, but not bad enough to really concern me. I'd be lying, though, if I said the teeth weren't worrying me.

I like nursing him now SO MUCH MORE than I did when he was really young. It's just so incredibly much easier than it once was. He's confident, I'm confident, position and latch aren't even things I really have to think about. It's this awesome feeling that we've got this down - we're an excellent team now.

So please don't start biting, kiddo!

I never cease to be amazing at how much pain baby gums can inflict. I'm really not looking forward to breast feeding...
Fret not. Babies rarely bite while breastfeeding, and when they do you can teach them not to. :)

Preshus Milestone: Atty is taking an active interest in the cat, particularly that intriguing, swishy tail.

Fortunately, the cat is good about running away when he's not in the mood..

Update: Poor cat. Atty got the tail, the cat tried to run, Atty KEPT hold of the tail for several seconds before I could dislodge it from his hand. I'm pretty amazed Reece didn't scratch him, because I might have. Then, poor cat was sitting with his tail wrapped snugly around his body - possibly sitting ON it - so Atty just went for the fur. I stopped him really quickly that time, but oh my. Reece used to be better about hiding, but 1) Atticus's crawl is now crazy efficient, and 2) the poor cat is lonely without his sister and so I guess he sees tail-pulling as the risk he takes for being social.

Mobility is the word of the day. He despised rolling as proper transportation from the get-go, preferring to put his energy into crawling. Paid off hugely for him - a proper, real, alternating hands and feet crawl at seven months. Not enough, though. He wants to stand so badly he can taste it. He spends a lot of time in bear-crawl position, on his hands and feet, obviously trying to figure out where to go from there. He successfully pulled up on me and the Boppy yesterday. He was trying so hard to pull up on the crib rails this morning. Gah.

He also thinks lying down is for suckers. He disapproves of nursing laying beside me, off the bottom breast. Unless he's tired, he'd rather sit or kneel and use the top boob, thank you, while I keep a tight grasp on his shirt to make sure he doesn't swan dive over my body and onto the floor.

Mobility. Lying around is for BABIES, Mom.

I may as well bump this thread for me now!

Well, we're at 7 weeks 2 days. Baby is the size of a raspberry.

I am seriously exhausted. Going to the grocery store wipes me out. Work is hard. I just want to sleeeep

But sleep is hard. I fall asleep easily but wake up between 2-4am.

And then there's nausea. Uuuuurgh. Its bad. Mornings are fine, but after about 3pm its bad.

Yay, Kim! Here's hoping you get nice and healthy and continue to keep food down. I'm so excited for it to be your turn to post pictures (but, obviously, at the appropriate time).

Speaking of which, please get nice and pregnant-belly-ish because I want pictures of that. :P

Good morning, pweb. Exhausted momma checking in.

We've had a rough 24 hours, with breathing issues, a blood type incompatibility leading to early jaundice and signs of infection on top of that. My baby has spent most of her time in the nursery on treatment and will be there until at least wednesday afternoon. Meaning I can't freely hold her until then.

I know she'll be fine...nothing is super serious, but I'm very worried about my milk production without being able to hold and nurse frequently. I'm doing all I can with rx, herbs, essential oils and pumping and I'm hoping and praying my milk comes in soon with this method.

Baby still has no name, as I haven't been able to spend enough time with her to get a good feel for what it should be.

Thanks for all your love and support. I'll try and check in when things are looking up, or we pick a name.

Well, it's happened. The dealer of the baby-narcotic made a surprise visit the other day in the guise of a teeny 2-week-old girl. That tiny, tiny tongue!! I'm not ready yet, but for the first time, the thought of going through pregnancy and labour again fills me with something other than unadulterated terror.

But yeah, still gonna be a little while. There's still terror, plenty of it.

Steph, I love her name. Is there any background behind the names (e.g. family names) or did you just go with things you liked?

Thank you all for your support! It's been hard not being able to hold my baby whenever I want, but everything is stabilized and she should be off treatment tomorrow and just under observation. We'll probably go home on Friday.

Baby's name is Jocelyn Annetta. For all of our kids names, we chose something we liked for the first name and a family name for the middle name. Annetta was my great-grandmother's name.

10 weeks was like a miracle. Boom. Nausea gone! Real dinner being made in my house again!

I waited til 11 weeks to get too excited, but I'm thrilled!

I still get heartburn and the burps. And I am exhausted a lot. But, yay no nausea!!!
